Hey Phil, to use the Tundra visor (from a 2002) I had to first modify the pivoting bracket by enlarging the hole and drilling a new hole to attach the unit. If you do this enlarge the hole going towards the back of the vehicle, not the front. The support bracket then resides about an inch farther out than the cruisers does so again need to make some modifications.

The problem with the support bracket is the means Toyota uses to secure it. Drilling a square hole in metal doesn't quite work out too well so I used a rivnut for a 5mm screw after cutting the square plastic tab off of the visor clip. I did NOT CUT THE plastic stud, as I used it later.

The reason for the trim was to hide the old mounting location, so I went to Homes Depot and picked up some 2 1/8" plastic sliders (they may also be bumpers) from the hardware section. Had to offset the visor clips to one side to completely cover the old mounting locations. Overall turned out fairly well. Thought about writing up a complete install on these but figured there may not be many people that would be interested.

I think the 80's board could use something new to check out. I know the visors are very expensive/hard to come by used and I think this is a great alternative and would probably help more than a few people~

Go for it, it IS worthy!

Almost got the bumper done today, just need to paint the ladder. I dont like how the ladder turned out and think I will make a new one once the mood strikes. I will post more once its all painted and the tire in back on.

Very slick. I like it.

I got half of what I feel a Fire shouldn't take from us in my FJ this week. Pre evacuation in Kachina AZ. 6 bikes on top. Glad I almost finished the rack 2 weeks ago.

Installed Ipad Mini in dash. "Borrowing" my daughters Ipad for now but plan on getting a 64 gb to hold lots of maps when I'm out of cellular area. Bluetooth audio, Bad Elf GPS, allows for charging while in dash. I'm using my phone as a hot spot. Held in place with 8 magnets build into fiberglass tray. Can be easily removed so it doesn't have to be left int he car. Went back and forth with double din touch screen and they all suck. My 1992 got a new 31 tooth speedo gear: much better shift points and the speedometer is accurate again. I would highly recommend this as a cheap "mod" for a 91/92 with bigger tires. Especially at altitude, the drivability of the 80 improved measurably. I also installed new TJM Tiger adjustable shocks, extended rear sway bar links, and new OME steering stabilizer to finish off the suspension work that began 10 mos ago.

the LX threw a CEL code this morning - PO510 - Rosie donated the part :hillbilly:

Is it me or is Sammie catching 10 feet of air there  !?
