Bikini for the minimum exposure. Or needs to trump garage space over all other vehicles you own,;)

Off roaded the LX470before waiting at the border:D after a great weekend on the Sea of Cortez

I had to trim off the back section of the stock exhaust on the GX after the last trip might have pinched it a bit. Finally did it. Added plus, is it dropped another 7 lbs off the truck weight and sounds much better.

I have been wanting a slide for the fridge for a while and finally pulled the trigger now that I think I am pretty settled on the trucks cargo layout.

Found the aux tank filler neck hose has a crack, only need 1 foot but only sold in 3 foot lengths. Has anyone priced 1-7/8" DOT approved filler hose lately?

I found 2 types, buy the soft type like radiator hose. Truth be told I ran rad hose for years due to the cost in the past.

Thanks Phil for prompting that last phone call, the local Carquest had exactly 12" of NOS for free.
$1.50/inch is the going price.

Finally got the disc brake conversion done, and bled. The toughest part of the job was not the brake hardware, the booster or the master cylinder, though I had issues with that also. The output of the booster was too long, depressing the master cylinder at rest. The toughest part, by far was running new brake lines and finding junctions that wouldn't leak. Done. And while I was at it, I put new rear shocks on, as the old ones had 20 or so years on them. Went with the Pro-Comp ES3000-232500.

What year is yours? If you don't need to run new brake lines, it is a fairly easy job.

I've got another roof rack (flat, for FJ80) here at the house that was sent to me by mistake. Trail Tailor will discount it rather than me shipping it back if anyone here in the valley is interested. Needs priming, painting, & mounts.

Pics of the rack.... My brain fart is someone's gain.
