Went camping with the fellas. Just a quick one nighter. Got some snow and temps went below freezing but a double glow before the morning start meant zero smoke. Beauty!

Replacing the headlight switch stalk. Cleaned up the high beam contacts and regreased everything. Fairly easy and straight forward. Plenty of info on Mud already to walk someone through this job.

A reliable 70 Series handbrake is finally available. 😁

Do you have a huge blind spot in the middle? I have the same LEDs and ARB bulbar. There is a black hole right in the middle. Thinking about a way to fill in that spot while on low beams.
Have only driven the 77 with the Koito's installed once. But my 73 has the same bar sans huge a$$ winch and same Koito H4s and haven't noticed. Now I'm sure it's all I'll see (not see).

Or are you asking if I had a dark spot with the LEDs? Definitely not. I'm not super savvy in all the different headlight options these days. But those suckers filled my life with light. Just didn't like the look and have had the H4 kit on my shelf forever and some guy at the gas station said 'nice j33p' recently.

Hey Guys, I have the same ARB bumper on my 75 with Baja Designs lights and the Holley Retrobrights installed. I don't have any dead spots in the middle, see link below, start at post #298 and you can see how they look at night. One question, have you performed a proper light alignment?

Impressive stuff. Interested to see how the Diode Dynamic bulbs in the Koito lenses compare. I can get behind that easy swap next.

I'm $16 into this kit.... and you'll be surprised to learn that it's not as impressive as yours.

Did adjust between right about good and too damn low with the garage door method.

I do very few things proper.

Perfection is the enemy of good, or something. I'm glad you switched back to the dim side, but I too would be interested in how the DD bulbs light up the Koito lenses.

It looks like I’ll have my 60 back from Kelly Saad sometime in April. It’s getting a whole makeover and then I’ll have to drive it back home from Arizona. Will keep you posted and will make a thread with comparisons once that rig is in the same timezone as I am :)

Installed a new license plate light tonight. I guess this getting dark at 1630 in the afternoon is really getting to me as I’ve been on a lighting upgrade mood as of late.

My motto of the day.
A few weeks back I placed a thread here 1633158010 BJ 3b Thermostat housing / Water Outlet (to the left)
Which was rightfully moved to the classifieds section.

I just noted today: The part is available again from amayama.com right now.
I straight away placed an order (for this and some more..), and it was confirmed.

Cheers Ralf

Pfft.. 30hrs is no excuse :) I did this over 40+ hrs of driving and that was in a truck with a 2F... Took a lot of backroads across the prairie. It took me 4 days from NYC to Flagstaff but I combined it with participation at the SAS in Colorado. Ended up doing 4000 miles (~6500kms) over two weeks. Looking forward to the return trip through the south when I bring it back.

Boy, now is the time to upgrade the turbo rather than rebuild. It will make a big difference.
Drift motion is rebuilding mine and adding 7mm billet wheel. I have a “budget” so this is 1/3 of a g turbo and it’s still a 13bt… eventually I’ll swap in a 6cyl diesel and then I’ll go big. Until then the $ gets split between a large fleet😂
