Picked up my custom engine adapter plate from the laser cutter and dropped it off at the machinist.

Had a flickering RH side LED headlight on the 77. Replaced the canbus modules with 24V JTX units. Solved the flicker and lack of the high beam dash indicator as a bonus. PO had just zip tied the old units out of the way. Ended up making quick little brackets out of leftover server rack parts. Three R's. Resist, Rebel, Revolt. or Recycle, Reuse and something.

Too fancy ;)

Not as Nice as adding new gear, but spent most of the weekend learning how the horn wiring works on my BJ74 to get her ready for registration again. As well as the 'additions' the previous owner had made to keep it working over the years. Good couple of hours fault finding to narrow down to a broken connection at the back of the spring contact (small green & red wire shown) that moves back and forth onto the contact ring for the steering wheel.

Learnt the hard way that the steering column cover is currently held on by cable ties o_O

Finally registered on the IH8MUD forum, as this website has become my go-to for restoring this old gem. She’s old and in need of some love, but we'll get there.

Nada on the 77.....getting ready to change spring packs, do an oil change and send sample to blackstone

Getting parts together for the HZJ40

Got stuck replacing caliper/brakes on my Dodge thats attached to a cummins.....brakes seem to just dissolve......backing plates and small hardware is consistently junk and needs to be pitched every couple years

Finally got some things fixed and she rides smooth. New 80 amp alternator, upgraded fan clutch, radiator, three engine mounts, and 3” exhaust from the turbo back with small muffler because straight pipe just sounded obnoxious. Love the results and great to have her back on the road again. Now it’s time for roof top tent and side awning 🤠

Oh yeah…got a new sticker for my jeep friends too😂

View attachment 3615575

I find this particularly funny because my wife drives a Jeep. I park my LC next to her jeep in the garage, so I put a Cruiser Outfitter sticker on the side window facing her Jeep that says "Jeeps Are s***". It took her almost a year to notice the sticker.

My brother got one of the "Silly boys, Jeeps are for girls" stickers to put on his HDJ81. It really confuses people when his wife drives the LandCruiser though!

I don't know how to deal with this sticker.

I drive an XJ as DD because it is a good victim for the road salt here in the Nordics. Cruiser is safe from salt.

yuup

Yes I do, installed along with the Dobinson suspension. In my case I'm pretty sure its coming from the rear end. It's in the driveline, not the tcase or driveshaft or apparently the dang pinion flange. I have new wheels and newish tires, balanced and rotated. Out-of-balance drums? Pinion bearing? Rear wheel bearing? I can't feel any play but process of elimination is sending me there.
