Thanks to everyone on this forum for all the knowledge.

I recieved a package from Germany. Scheel-mann seat cover. I only bought one to try it out and it was more difficult to install than Escape Gear but came out really nice. My only complaint is the color is more greenish than grey.

It even came with a bottle holder but I didn't install it....

Wrinkles have pretty much gone away after some use.

Cheers

Did a little exploring today. Revisiting some places I haven't been in 30 years. Some public land on the Carolina coast. What I find wonderful about nature is it really doesn't change much. Towns build up or die off, new people come and go, but when I go into the national forest I can go back to a place I haven't hunted or explored since a teenager and it really hasn't changed. A few pics of the BJ73 one on the oak lined entrance to the reserve and another near the boat ramp at sunset.

Looks like a great day. Croatan?

That cover look great also!. Your own pictures of the knightsbridge cover look better than the one and only picture they use on the knightsbridge site too. They really need to use better photos of their product for the scheel-mann seat.

They only show them for the Sportline, mine are Vario. Not sure if they are producing for the Vario or if mine are one offs. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Cheers

Are there any tips to make the back seat go back a little on the HZJ77? They do sell kits in Japan for this very purpose but just thought I would ask here (the Japanese kits require some carpet cutting it seems like). I modified my sliders from Bride to make the front seats go back more (for more leg room) but this kills the space in the back for any passengers.

That single pic of the sportline cover isn't doing them any favors, at least to scheel-mann customers.

I have two of these: 200 Watt 12 Volt Monocrystalline Solar Panel - https://www.renogy.com/200-watt-12-volt-monocrystalline-solar-panel/

I always think they're 225w panels but they're 200w. So 400W of solar on the roof...

Impressive. It looks like the cargo rails on the alucab are further out towards the edges of the roof than the mulgo. I have two 100 watt renogy flex panels mounted sideways and am debating adding one more. I started with flex panels to try to keep my height under control. I am hoping that I could deflate my tires and still fit into an 8' garage. I haven't tried yet but fully inflated I am about an inch too tall.

Anyhow, envious of all that power.

Flex panels are pricey or I might be tempted to put 2 400w panels up there like you've done, and wire them in series for more voltage "headroom" to charge my batteries in imperfect conditions.

What's crazy is we awoke one morning in a blizzard in the Mojave. Whiteout conditions, heavy snow, couldn't see 20' in front of us, and our panels charged the 200ah battery bank just fine. We usually wake up to the bank being at 85% on cold mornings, and it'll charge up to 100% in +/-15 minutes. Modern PV cells are so robust. As long as the panels are equal and wired correctly.

Santee coastal reserve. Love the coast of the Carolinas. NC's a little more developed and has the surfing scene and some cool drive on beaches, but fewer plantations and ancient oaks than SC. Think it tends to get hit by more hurricanes than SC.....The woods and nature stays pretty much the same. Man seems to put up more signs and fences. "do this don't do that can't you read the signs" truth in that song.

These are probably the ones you’re referring to: mehr Fußraum schaffen / Beschläge aus Japan - https://forum-buschtaxi-org.translate.goog/mehr-fuszraum-schaffen-beschlage-aus-japan-t77818.html?_x_tr_sl=de&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp
I haven’t seen anything else. Not so much carpet cutting in my opinion… seems well-worth it if you’re looking for some more space in the back.

I have one of these panels from Overland Solar mounted directly to my roof with VHB backed Velcro, no frame, I've had it up there for almost a year with no issues.

Thank you. I believe those are the same ones I saw. It is nice to read actual reviews of the product.

I just wanted to see if there was other tips, tricks or options out there before I try those out.

I lost all of my search terms that I had saved for buyee so I have to rebuild the list of search terms I had saved up but these I found pretty easily. :(

The coasts of NC, SC and GA are like no other in the world. I was really wondering where those shots were from with the big live oaks. Not a lot here in NC, but a few and that was confusing. I grew up playing in the Francis Marion National Forest south of Awendaw- back packing, shooting, and riding dirt bikes. As much as that area has grown, it is still amazing; I need to get back there and enjoy the preserved lands.

Thanks for the reminder!

Nothing major but installed some mesh rock guards over my headlights. I really like the performance of these United Pacific LED headlights but they look to bright and shiny so I wanted to tone them down a bit. I tried installing Lamin-X smoke vinyl overlay, which looked better but the tint dimmed the headlights too much. Gave these black mesh guards a try and I think they not only look better but also don’t seem to block any meaningful amount of light. Had to go to the hardware store to get longer screws to mount these under the headlight bezels but apart from that was a very easy install.

Looks great! Is that the commercial version? Where’d you buy it from?
Honestly I'm not sure which version it is. I bought off of vivid racing, hard to find 70 series ARB stuff in the states. Have the side step/fender rails coming as well. I can give you my contact at vivid if you'd like , he was very helpful as a go between with ARB.
