Decided to work on the Lexus a little bit, and see whats going on in the engine:

I now do not believe that it needs a water pump and that the previous owner who "did the work himself" just didn't fill and bleed the system right. I myself just found out how to do it but would have never know until I research its, I am not very familiar with this 4.0L however once this project is 'done' I will know it as well as I do the other engines in my fleet.
Also this was fun, I wanted to check the spark plugs, the previous owner didn't seat the plug wires all the way in the tues and Cyl# 2 & 6 were stuck:

Also last weekend before I headed up to my cousins wedding my stepdad needed help with his rear shocks on his 3rd gen. When I put our stock silver one in the air to take pictures to give him a visual guide, I found I too was in the same boat:

Then got extremely pissed off:

But was able to give it a 'stock' lift:

The early 99ish to early 00ish 3rd gen 4Runners were the tallest of the bunch sitting 2" higher then the 01-02 and 1" taller then the 96-98 3rd gens. Ours was a late 00ish that looks to sit like the 96-98 and at this point the springs were so weak it was just resting on the bump stops. Truck feels brand new.
