WOW! Wish I had a neighbor like that. Should take the edge off the compression reading...at least temporarily:cheers:

Used the warm weather yesterday to replace the oil cooler lines on the Yukon. Damn GM beancounters… Saving 10₵ is more important than doing anything right.

Wow! That top cleaned up really nice! Glad it went to a good new home. Can I assume that all the bolt holes were in the proper location?

@shmukster we are taking good care of your 40!

Box is about ready to go in. We came up with a pretty slick way to do the tabletop on the right side drawer. Stay tuned for more photos!

Wow Ben, that looks great. I think I need to get the 80 penciled in for you to work your cabinet magic!

Removed the ABS pump and LSPV and reworked the lines to incorporate a wilwood manual proportioning valve. So much more available room now.

Morgan - thanks for the kudos! Sweet stove and that one shot makes me hungry for some ribeye. When is the Keystone Cruiser family PA state forest weekend run?

BTW, have you had any issue with the bolts securing the ARB fridge to the slide we made coming loose? I hate the ARB tie down straps and am going to build a slide like yours using the 9308 locking slides. The full extension is going to help pull my fridge out enough so that I can open the lid much further.

You came up with a pretty slick way to accommodate the slides yet maximize drawer space too, very nice!

Did all the rubber inside the fender wells clean up alright after the smoky burnouts in the parking lot?

I am itching to get this swap wrapped up so I can get out on the trails again, hopefully the family event is after I finish up.

I spy Morgan's fancy new license plate ;)
Good eye Aaron.

Hey all... I recently noticed while driving that my oil pressure gauge in my 60 pegged out at "H". After I shut the engine off, the needle drops back down to "L", but once I restart it, it climbs back up to H within a few seconds (even at idle). Any thoughts on what's going on?

could be the pressure sending unit has had enough, or something in the gauge cluster.
the 60's are known for gremlins in the gauges, but i don't recall if the oil pressure gauge was tangled up in that mess or not.
pretty easy to change the sending unit, it threads into the block on the passenger side down around the oil cooler.

I've disconnected the wire to the sending unit and the gauge dropped to no reading at all. So, I'm thinking my gauge cluster is ok and the issue is with the sending unit. Just ordered a new sending unit. Will provide an update once installed. Thanks Brian for getting me pointed in the right direction!

Here's what i found on the rear axle anti-wrap bar on my 40 while prepping for the Moab trip. Good thing I saw it here in my garage! The broken piece is just thin wall pipe with a pair of steel-sleeved rubber bushings. I replaced it with a solid piece machined from a piece of 2" round steel. Much stronger now. there is no pivot at the axle end, the other end attaches to the (extremely strong) skid plate with a pivoting link.
