After a few rides wlth the old boy club at gsmtr, decided to get this

That's great, priceless....

I think Marius is talking about you Ted.

Congrats Marius-looks good.

yeah, think so. Finally caught up with my long lost South African buddy after 3 years, he rode with me for one day and one night at GSMTR and next thing ya know all hell breaks loose, It was great.

About a week later I got a string of emails and text messages from Marius with links to different trucks from Craigslist all askin' "how bout this one?" I think there was even a Corolla on 35s in there somewhere. Classic!

From what I recall this truck has 5.29s, dual Marlin cases, longfields, Budbilt skids, winch and new 35s. A pretty nice truck!

So now the countdown clock is on for Archie, it'll never happen but he was ready to buy a mini truck after riding with John for one day. C'mon Arch!

That truck looks familiar , I hope you get to use it more than its PO did.

Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD

Ha I hope so also.
5'' ranchero lift
5000 warn winch for front and rear
Detroit in front
and more

Yes that is me. That was mixed group (Rovers, Jeeps, Cruisers) trail exploration after Christmas 2010 as I recall.

Again yes, I fab'd my bumpers/sliders/rub rails.

I also exceed the 20 year old mark with room to spare, so I qualify as an old guy.

Nice to see other 70 Series in the State of Georgia.:)

Agree. Plus friends tell me about spotting 70s like mine in traffic, but I never seem to be in the right spot at the right time for my own sightings. The following is a picture of the truck earlier month loaded and ready for the trip to CMCC. This year there was another BJ70 at the event but he got up there late enough on Saturday that it was too dark for a picture with my phone. Another reason for a return trip next year.

This BJ71 is located in Thomasville, Ga. It was formally mine but now belongs to a doctor. :)

I replaced it with this HJ75 from Australia so there are at least three 70 Series in the State. :)

Theres also a really nice bj70 at ACC. its been parked inside the gate eveytime I've gone.

Edit: added a picture... Or 3 for some reason? (no idea why)

Nice looking 70 Series. Does someone drive it home at the end of the day?

I'm not really sure. It used to be blocked into the same spot every time I went by a couple other Toyotas. Lately though, it's been parked in a different part of the lot.

It would be a shame if something as rare as a 70 Series was used as a static display by an automobile dealer. :)

It's owned by one of our customers. He has 5 or 6 cruisers so that 70 doesn't get driven much. It is currently waiting on a 13BT swap. He drives his 80 or his 135 most of the time.

Cool........
The 13B-T is a very good engine even though the fuel economy is somewhat lacking when compared to the 3B.

Sorry Michael, wasn't trying to imply that it was just a show piece to attract people.

It's a great show piece and head turner. It's great ACC has it showcased. It's also great that ACC displays it, showing off their knowledge of foreign cruisers and in depth engine swaps. That wins my Bussiness over a shop with a bunch of 80's and Tundras sitting outside.

Just got this last Tuesday - so far I've fixed the A/C and made a list of other things I need to repair/upgrade. Planning to get active in GA Cruisers ASAP.

Welcome Ankur! It is great to have another GT guy around (AKPsi is a bonus)! Glad you got over the Jeep thing and picked up that wagon!

I hear ya my brother - we need to get together and kick tires soon. Wish I could make the GA Cruisers ride, but too much going on that weekend - and I'm not sure she's trail ready yet. I need to do a full fluid check/change and do the galley plug mod before I run any trails...

This is a great group of guys with A LOT of knowledge. You will enjoy getting to know everyone on here...now if I could just make a meeting or wheeling event :(
