Today was the first day that I didn’t need chains to go up my driveway. They are only calling for a few inches this weekend. As of right now, I don’t see the snow ice being a big issue in 3 weeks.

I plan on bringing my chains just in case. I need to get new tensioners anyway so that's a good motivator.

Wrench wrench wrench
Thanks @OTRAMM for setting up the gears!

Nice pattern!

I'm tentatively hoping for the 12th, coming up from NC and spending the night prior nearby. It's a slim chance but I'm actively pursuing it. Will have the wife and dog in the LX470. She's into it but we're working around other items on the schedule.
Looks pretty good now. I'd say 90% positive. We won't be dragging camping gear with us because I'll need the cargo space for my return to NC, so we'll see about dog-friendly lodging nearby for Friday night. Hopefully this might persuade some of you who might be on the fence until more folks showed 2/12 interest.

EDIT: Pointing out again that I'm talking about Feb 12, not Feb 19.

@JohnVee - if you can share nicely with @landwagon, you can spend the night at our cabin. It is the second to last house heading up to the trailhead. Dog friendly
Wouldn't be the first time we've shared private forest time but we'll be a week apart! I'm doing the 12th with whoever else joins the BBRC folks.

Hey @PRADO3, I see you changed your screen name to Diff Kraken. By any chance are you related to Phil? Phil M. Kraken?

Hadn’t thought of that one. Youve got a weird obsession with holes @DirtNap but even stranger is that my actual real life initials are NAP… so who’s related to who?

Just noticed your rig. I assume I gave you blue balls with my attempted 4Runner LX570 swap yesterday. You and me both!

How you liking that LX? You coming up to Flag Pole with it?

Hmm, I'm not getting the "holes" reference. What could you possibly have meant?!

I'm on day 3 so still the honeymoon phase. But now that I have made it to a Lexus, I need to keep up appearances. Not sure I should be seen hanging around with you ruffians.

The Phil MKraken joke is a reference to what happens in Bob's tent- it definitely involves holes. And a dirt nap is generally taken in a hole about 6 feet deep... hence the holes comment.

Pinkies up- that's what they say in the GX groups. What made you switch from the 200 LC to the LX version?

There are tons more where "Phil" came from. :-)

Primarily because the lifted 200LC on 33.5" tires was a problem for some family members to get in/out. Plus as my daily, it was a pain not knowing if it would fit in downtown parking decks.

Hmmm… you sure it’s not broken? Maybe I should go snag it. It meets all my criteria and I could trade in my 4runner and cut my car note in half.

It isn't broken! Did you see my post on Mud classified? "2008 LC in Laurel". Posted lots of office and a gallery. Suggest you move quickly, heard several folks have called dealer about it and rqst shipping quote

It’s funny but I actually stumbled onto it through the carguru website. It’s literally the only 200 LC for sale (edit: under $50k) within a 100 mile radius.

But after the LX excitement yesterday, I’m feeling too lazy to run off and buy it at the moment…
But it’s pretty much the exact right price point and color combo for me… and it’s got the best wheel/tire set up. Actually, what am I doing sitting here…
