@sggoat

In my rig I replaced my toyota 74’ plastic grill logo with older metal and it is now off a bit too high

Didn’t realize until I buttoned everything up… but now you can see the logo over the gargantuan winch on the front lol

All you need is to swap out the wrong grill or wrong emblem then it’s off

The grill work has changed over the years

I wonder how hard it would be to buy a 20 series front fascia and install it. Honestly the no bezel look is kinda cool. I saw it on a 45 troopy and it looked amazing.

That or getting a stamped bezel, even though it’s not correct for my year.
@Drake2 has a fab’d 20 series looking grill for sale. Or at least he did? PM him and ask. Great seller!

@82cruiser what wheels/wheel size are those? I love them, and what roof rack and ladder is that? Is it custom made?

He had gotten the Stockton 22 series smoothie rims

Spotted a bib problem at a Cruiser dealer near Tokyo yesterday on a cherry 45. Couldn't help but "inform" the salesmen... No idea if they intend to flip it but I've done my part. 🤠 🚨

Kinda funny to me, in a good way. I'm more interested in the discussions about the bezel than whether its correct.
It is kinda the centerpiece of the front view, so I get it. I just wonder how so damn many got turned upside down.... I mean, why was it so common to take it off in the first place?

At some point the headlight burns out and no one pays attention of the bezels orientation when it's removed.

Most logical explanation. Even to adjust the aim of the headlights the bezel has to be removed. Wonder if the wide end being a little heavier is why it ended up on the bottom so often.

When the FJ40 started production Toyota work to push the Land Cruiser name. Then some time in 1963 made the move to promote TOYOTA. Toyota was looking to try again to sell cars after the Toyopet failure.
Unlike my 68 here Toyota in grill was never used with the stamped bezel. It was always one or the other.

Can someone 3D print one of those ? is the material suitable to hold up ?

I thought years ago someone was making a fiberglass version of one. Maybe they're still doing it.
