That’s a vague question, which ones?

Yes, I guess it is..... and I guess I have more questions now that i think about it.

Here is the image you posted....

Don't mind the squirrel nuts on this.... Here is my fuel return and supply line on the stock tank. Note how quickly they bend over, there is not alot of room above the tank, so hoping to use this stock piece as much as possible.

Yours has three lines out of it, supply return and vent?? I have vents on the other side near filler, so do I need the third?

If not, I am hoping I can drill a hole on this for wiring and use these existing lines using a Swaglok fitting to AN. If I need that third line, still hoping to drill and mount on that same piece.

Thoughts?

Pull that plate with the original fuel lines through it out and see what they look like inside the tank. They most likely go all the way towards the center of the tank. Check inside the tank and see if there’s an existing pan/tray around where the those lines pickup from.

Yes, appears to be baffles that this pick up sits inside near the middle.

Well, that's where your pump needs to go. not where the original bolt flange is. I just make a simple plate to block that hole off. It's easy on a 60 tank because they have nice raised circular plateau where the pump hanger needs to go - and where Toyota later mounts the FJ62 pump, clearly showing they were planning ahead for EFI with the 60's

You should be able to use that same pickup with an electric pump. Buy the universal in tank electric fuel pump unit for about $19 on Amazon. trim a few inches off of the metal pickup line that you have and attach the new electric fuel pump unit to that so that could pick up from the new pump is in approximately the same position. Should work fine if you have enough clearance to fish it back in side the baffles where it came from. you may be able to trim a notch in the top of the baffles with some tin snips to get the clearance to fish the pump back in. Of course you will have to drill that access cap for the wires to the pump and seal it back up with some type of sealant.

I ordered the toyota fuel pump kit that @cruisermatt has posted up earlier, so when that comes in, I will see if I can get it attached to that oem tube and fit into the tank. Been trying to find what to use for the wiring, and found this on ebay..... Anyone else have a suggestion?

Those work great if you have the clearance under the floor, doing two tanks right now using those.

Drill hole in Access cap. Run wires through with a tight rubber grommet installed in the hole to prevent wire abrasion/short. Clean and degrease metal and Seal with a good fuel resistant sealant on the inside and outside encapsulating the rubber grommet and point where it goes through. If it were me I'd probably use JB weld paste followed by putty.

Got seat heaters in passenger seat.

I don’t want to separate the transfer case from that h55F, so good friend found this sitting in his stash... thanks @kc_chevota ... Spent a lot of time power washing this split case, but really didn’t get half of the junk off of it....

Rabbit hole.... been playing with the idea of switching to 6l80 instead of 4l80. same size in length, but 6 speed.

Been looking for someone that can tell me if this is a good idea or not. Also need to call PSI Conversions to see if their wiring / computer can work for my engine/tranny combination.

dumping info here..

4l80 length with adapter per Advanced adapter site. 50-1701

Then the 6l80 is more allusive. I called advanced and they have me similar diminsions. 50-9612.

I am not sure what I am really comparing here... nor sure of fixed or slip yoke, but diminsions of 30.85 for 6l80 seem reasonable.

I'm of no help... but have been following along. Next time I visit the folks in Topeka I'm popping in to see all this stuff in person...

Pretty sure I can find a beer or five for you to try when you are here.

ok... talked to PSI Conversions. Quick plug, they are awesome help to work with. .. Dominic was very helpful.

Word is that there is not a harness for a gen3 motor and a gen4 6l80 transmission.

So my option is to find a 4l80 transmission or go deeper in the rabbit hole and find a gen4 motor and transmission. If I do that, I will buy an entire car and do a swap.

Any advice on this rabbit ho.e?
