Anyone ever heard of adding Boric Acid to motor oil?

Long story short I attract crazy people at work and while I was standing in line at a gas station today I had a guy start talking to me about how hot it was outside and asking questions about my crown vic and opening the hood on hot days. He says hes an engineer but kinda looks half homeless to me, sooo he then starts in about boric acid in the motor oil and how it helps the motor run more efficient and reduced heat and friction. Bla bla bla bla bla....So being that he seemed a bit crazy i just said a few things and parted ways as fast as i could. Now as I'm pulling around from the rear of the service station I see the guy filling up a brand new Mercedes S-Class 550 which I know is a high end car. So I pause and google boric acid in engine oil and sure enough people swear by this.

Anyone ever heard of it or don it??

I dunno...most of the engineers I work with are a little fruity. Marvel mystery oil is a different story now.

Who can I trust to fix/replace my windshield? Haven't contacted the insurance company yet but have read that the 80 has to be done right or it will leak.

Anyone have any recommendations /ideas on truck rental. Was going to rent a trailer and use one of my dad's trucks but unless something happens he is going to be tied up working with them all weekend. Uhaul wants .99 a mile. Would be almost $500 said and done.

No I haven't. I touched base with my dad though and as long as nothing happens he is going to help me. Will know for a fact thursday.

For those in the Greenville area, or simply like Duke's...found these illustrations that I thought were pretty neat.

Woke up at 4:30 this morning and have not been able to go back to sleep. Uber excited to get the 40 home so I can see just how broke I really am!

Hey guys, this is my neighbor that does the windshield installs. He replaced Daniel's and has done a few for Marshall. He just went out on his own from 20/20 auto glass so here is his new contact info. He does deal with insurance companies so call him if ya have a problem with your windshield.

Does anyone have a pilot bearing tool that I could borrow for hopefully a few minutes? I am getting everything lined up to rebuild transfer case and it looks like I will need one.
Thanks

To remove it?? If so you don't need a tool, get 3 or 4 pieces of bread and pack them into the hole. Use a 3/8 socket extension and just slowly/lightly tap the bread in there. Keep adding bread(should only take 3 or 4 pieces) and the bearing will pop right out....then you just pull out the wad of bread and you're done. Don't use grease, makes a hell of a mess and you have to clean the grease out when you get the bearing out. Have done the bread trick many times and it's so easy, don't worry your truck isn't gluten intolerant!
