Ok, so oversize, they ground the crank down, undersize and they made the caps/block larger.

Also, FYI, just got the call that the block is done at the machine shop!

@SammyT08FJ the price for you headwork seams pretty reasonable. What all did you have done and where at ?
It was milled and I had a valve job done. They also pressure tested it and cleaned it. Elson is 72 years old. He is one two guys in columbia that know what they are doing. Very good shop and great people. So if you guys ever have to do any head work let me know. I think he had everything done in about 4 days.

Why drive. I'll meet you half way or I can grab it from you anytime I'm in KC. Once boost gets going I'm planing on helping Kelly so I can take parts back to como.

If the caps/block are made larger(AKA line bore), you would still need thicker bearings. You are correct in that this is kind of a misnomer, they are both in fact thicker. Oversized are thicker on the outer circumference, while undersize or thicker on the inner circumference. Think of it this way, if line bored the journal diamater is "over" it's spec size. If the crank is turned, it is "under" it's spec size.

Think that I ordered all parts needed. Hope to get some parts painted this weekend. Oh, I need to post up some pics.

I appreciate that. I haven't decided whats going to happen with the 97 yet. I will either refresh the motor that's in it and just deal w the lack of power by re gearing. Or I will be swapping to the 5.3 GM motor.

Well whatever you decide let me know how I can help.
