Thanks Eric, hopefully you can make it next time.

I used a simple photo stitcher to put two pictures together. You can see the "seam". There is a guy in the first photo, right in the center, that is doubled. He moved between shots :hillbilly:.

I put one together when we ran Bronco Peak (the picture @ the peak).

Yeah, after we waited till 9 for the OC group to arrive . . .

Yeah, that trip to meet up with the Heep guys turned into a fiasco. :o After we split off to go get them I had my buddy Will in the black TJ lead the way up Hills of the Moon Wash, since he had been through there and had the only GPS, so we could grab the missing Jeepers and rejoin the group. We started up the wash and it gradually got narrower and narrower. Eduardo was a trooper and despite having no lockers, no lift and an early departure time never complained once, and only needed a couple of pulls to keep going. The wash finally reached a dead end and a tricky turn around. About that time we were starving and decided to stop for lunch and promptly managed to lose Eduardo's dog Bella. Thankfully she was found a couple of miles from us back up the canyon just beyond our turn around. Then we lost Eduardo's son Anthony for a short time as we were re-grouping when he fell/slid down into a small crevase of the wash. Thankfully he was not hurt and we were able to laugh about both close calls.

On the way up the canyon I asked Will are you sure this wash goes through to the Pumpkin Patch? He assured me it did, but unfortunately we were in the wrong wash, third wash to the west of Hills of the Moon Wash (un-marked on my topo map) near as we could tell. He had just put a new GPS in his Jeep so we had no way points to follow only memory and our topos. We never found the Heepers and obviously missed meeting back up with the group. We eventually came out at Ocatillo Wells and got Eduardo aired back up and on the road. Shortly after I decided to air up get my passenger Mark back home as well and Will went back out to try and meet up with his friends. Still not sure if he ever found them.

Eduardo wheels a stock un-locked 80 very well but still got a couple of "rash" marks on the front bumper and his running boards are a little convex now. I managed to destroy my rear shocks having some higher speed fun on the way out (set the rear bumpstops about 1/2" too short ) but we still managed to have fun because any day out wheeling is a good day. Mark and Will took all of the pictures but I will post some up when I get them.

Big thanks to Mark for setting this run up and the whole group for waiting on our slow butts to start the day:o. I know it was very short but it was good to meet Mark, Reid, Vince and family, Ulyses, and others whose names I have forgotten(sorry). I hope to wheel with you again soon, the whole day next time.:beer:

Looks to Me like We already "Hit " some kinda crap out in the middle of the open field. :)
Yeah, but my question is; how the hell did it get into the driver's seat?!

Hey, look at it this way. Your record for the season just improved.

had a blast with you all!!! It was a truly pleasurable experience and there probably isn't a nicer group around.
sorry I missed Coyote Canyon, looked real fun- going straight to work was not my first choice. At least the kitchen was open when I got there:D

I'll try and get some pics posted when my wife returns the camera to me...

cheers, and thanks to all for a great time!

Early December, before the 14th? We are leaving to Colorado to visit the folks.
Weekend of the 8th? I might be able to pull that off. I've got to ask the :princess:.

BTW: Luke had a great time with your kids.

I have to start breaking in the "newb" Zeus

Nice looking pup! How long have you had him?

I have to start breaking in the "newb" Zeus

where's Apollo?

Higgins would want to know, BTW I saw Tom Selleck on the lot here at work the other day...

Hmm, I was thinking about doing something on the 8th anyway.

How bad is upper CC? I know it has been leveled, but I believe horse canyon is what you are interested in.

How well would my "stock 80 with 33s" do?

Reid and Steve, you know my rig. Steve, we ran lower CC at Borregofest. Reid, we did sidewinder awhile back.

I'd probably be interested, but I don't want to recklessly beat up my rockers (no sliders yet :frown:)
