well, sure enough, I was too late for the rendez-vous. Did make it to AB, although pretty late, and tried calling on 2m a few times but you guys must have been having too much fun in some remote canyon. :)
Did only 2 short trails: Mine Wash and Grapevine Canyon, both very easy and not particularly interesting, unfortunately, but that's all I had time for. But a bit of desert is better than no desert at all... Hope you guys had a blast!

Sorry to hear that Eric, Mo only stayed with us for the first wash and left to meet up with some buddies so there was no 2m in the group.

I am downloading the pics from the trip now, all though we did forget to take a large group shot at lunch.

Post them up! I will when I get home tomorrow. Got the duty blues today. That was a great time enjoyed by my whole family.:D Will have to do this again. My :princess: even suggested once a month runs! She is cool! Thanks Mark for putting this together!

Thats hillarious - that mod on Eds bumper probably prevented him from "hitting" something in the open field.

And more pics

After running into a closed section of Cut-Across Trail and pissing off all of the cycle guys by rolling 9 rigs through their playground we finally caught a glimpse of the 5 Palm Oasis and our lunch stop! :bounce::bounce2::bounce:

After lunch we decided to abandon the rest of the trail towards the Salton Sea and have Reid lead us into Truckhave. Where of course Reid finds the narrowest trail back up to S-22

In that trail Ulyses took some running board damage and my buddy Kevin broke something up front on his Colorado and had to be double strapped and pulled out by Reid where he limped back to SD in 2 wheel drive and back to Vegas today. Still awaiting to hear that he has gotten back to sin city safely.

Then there were 6 of us who went onto check out the water crossing on Coyote Canyon trail. Boy were we in for a surprise at the last crossing with it higher than I have seen it in the 7 years I have been going out there.

Thanks for putting this together. My brother and I had a great time, I only wish I could have stayed to run Coyote canyon with you guys.

Mark,
awesome run, I had a blast and I too think we should do this more often. BTW it was great finally meeting all of you guys. 80's RULE!:flipoff2:

Looks like you guys had a great time. Wish I could have joined you.

Coyote Creek looked pretty deep. I went through there in October and ended up getting water in my diffs and had to change the fluids.

Eric

You guys drove up to the last water crossing in Coyote Canyon and didn't do the rock gardens? Why not?

Yeah, 4 of the 6 did the first (Correction 2nd since Reid has video of me on the 1st) rock garden. I chumped out since it was pretty rough and I didn't feel like ruining a perfect day of wheeling by dinging a rocker, ripping off my cats, or busting up a diff. If I would have had either a lift or sliders I would have done it.

Man it seemed so much worse from the drivers seat

3rd on bottom Shane trying to pull out Kevin

That was soo much steeper than it looks from that pic.

It was great meeting those of you I hadn't met before and running with those of you I had.

I hope to do it again soon.
