Turbo or supercharger ?

My post was a direct reply to Cass007.

Who asked me if I had an educated guess to what the failure point was for high awhp.

I would hope the Supra studs hold things together at 5psi since I have been using the stock head bolts on 19psi for almost 5 years. Lol

The tranny is the weak point even at 10psi the transmission flares. At 5psi on a good transmission you will be fine.

The bullet supercharger for $3900 is a Sprintex, the HPS2100 is newer technology for the $950 and even it is a generation behind a TVS2300 which is a generation behind what is being offered by Eaton. But then your $150 shy of $5000, you still don’t have an intercooler. I still say wait for the turbo.

I think with good maintenance the tranny should hold up. Not driving like an a****** all the time will help too. Not like this SC is going to be putting out monster power. A bit more then the TRD SC from my understanding.
I am getting the head done on my lx450 and putting in the supra studs replaced. Should hold everything together on 5PSI.

BTW when I bought my truck the tranny was smoked in it. Fluid blacker then hell and smelled no better. I think the cooler got plugged up do a lack of giving a crap (maintenance)

How much boost do you see a stock head and gasket set taking along with the A343F?

You can get all kinds of stuff for it, how big is your piggy bank?

They do have a piggy back or something for the ECU. If you want to tune it more you can but again more money.

I don't have all the details yet, I will talk with Tom from Bullet Cars some more soon.

If I do this, I am not going to try to make monster power. A LS1 would be better for that, however the price point and gain seem to
be a good idea.
A 50-80HP gain would be wonderful!
