I know, i was in Fance a few years back with my gal, we went to see a dealer that preps them for ( Raids) in Africa.wanted info on price,etc
VERY,VERY, expensive but i think worth every penny!!!!

the steel is cut with a waterjet machines.
the pipes are bent using a manual Greenline bender.

i designed the components from idea to paper to cut and welded to powder coated.

pics update on friday

the owner is working on it and moving the wiring harness to the roof channel.

yesterday finished off the storage boxes and added antirattle foam.
today started on the 1" thick soft roof sound deadner.
tomorrow the wiring should be done, the sound deadner should be done
the side storage compartments should be installed and the window panels installed.

sorry guys for taking so long.

I enjoy reading/watching the build threads....all the details are appreciated and help others come up with ideas...etc.

it is great job , calculating angles and length 3D without computer is IMPRESSIVE ...

I would take one of those in a heart beat if available here...So sad a rugged, simple vehicle can't be had in the "Civilized" world anymore!

well, the body is back. a few flaws will need fixing but all in all a decent job.
TONS of rust proofing in all the joints, roof inner channels, everywhere ... what a bitch to work around. :mad:

hang over rod
mark edge
spray adhesive to the line 1/2 the area
stick the back to the line
spray the front and dry and stick

mark for alignment on the cover and the insulation

the stress is on the first 6 square inches.
mess that up and the whole top is screwed.
