To be fair, it didn't come with any instructions, so they were guessing at what the gap should be and using the other vendors as their reference point.
I'll take a look and if it's not raining tomorrow I'll break out the jack and try to shift it. It feels like it almost needs to pull forward by 1/8", as the lens is pretty flat and sliding down doesn't seem like it would open up the gap, but perhaps I'm wrong on the angle and a slight drop will resolve it.
I'll try to fiddle with the sensor - as the grommet fit in the hole seems to small for the sensor portion but I'll try a bunch of adjustments. Again that part is less important to me as I don't really use them anyway. It just seems weird that the grommet only seems to fit into the hole in one way, but the sensor seems to get blocked by the tabs.
