Outstanding!

My unsolicited advise...Drive her for a bit and get to know it. Make a list of issues, then tackle a few things at a time.

Looks good.

Very good advise. Got one rattle under the dash that is driving me crazy right now. It's a blast to drive.

Finally got my carpet installed.

In the process this week and next week to make the red disappear. I've been driving it, put about 300 miles on her so far. Fixing small things as they come up.

So I drove her up to a buddies house to fix my t-case shifting problem. 53 miles up there, didn't have the breather line on the axle tube and noticed a little oil on the axle. Didn't think to much of it. After fixing t-cas shifter drove the 53 miles back. At about mile 100 started having issues. Had a bad vibration. Pulled over several times to let her rest. Got her home and decided to check the rear axle oil level. Pulled the plug and couldn't feel anything with my pinky finger. Put a quart of 80w90 in, still couldn't feel anything. Added another quart. Same result. I can look in with a good light and see oil on the locker when I rotate the tires. Should I just top it off and roll with it or drain and take a look? Hope I'd didn't royally screw something up.

When was the last time you checked the oil? Also the breather line clean and clear? If all is yes then fill and keep an eye on it.

I first filled up my axle when I put the rig together. Since then I have put around 300 miles on it. The last 100 mile trip is the first time that I have checked it. It does have the Nitro gear cover on it and I don't know if this will tend to make it hold more gear oil. Added another quart today, still can't feel anything with the pinky. So, this makes 3 qts since I checked it after the last trip.

For peace of mind maybe drain, check and fill up?, sounds bad, but there must have been enough oil to al least lubricate a bit.
if low oil I would think a lot of squeaking of metal against metal, I once drove a dodge ramvan from the dealer home and they forgot to fill transmission: awesome sounds when it died.
For inspection I bought a cheap usb camera, but the rear is easy to open (no heavy carrier lifting), might check CBPL
carrier bearing pre-load

3 US quarts = 2.8 liter, that is empty, :skull:, poor rear bearings,

So I got my axle topped off with gear oil. Went for a drive and had a bad vibration. Didn't know what the heck was going on. Had a buddy look under the 60 while rolling back and forth. He noticed the rear drive shaft was making a bad noise. Pulled it on the lift, bad u-joint. Went and bought two new u-joints and replaced both even though only one was bad.

Vibration gone and it drives much better. Pulled it back on the lift and now my turbo is leaking oil every where.

Found my oil leak. The oil feed line to the turbo has a pretty good crack in it. Now to check the local diesel yard for one.

If no joy, have the hose company make one, or use SS braided hose and fittings and make it yourself.
