1. I am running valvoline powersteering fluid
2. I am running H55 that I got from GLTHFJ60, and using an old trans mount that was in good shape.
3. Not sure on checking the trans mount with the help of a friend
4. Using the engine mounts from the donor truck, they were in good shape also. Not a lot of engine movement.
In my experience, most Asian vehicles take ATF in the power steering reservoir/system, not "power steering fluid" which tends to be for older American vehicles.
Maybe try flushing the system and refilling with ATF and let us know your results.

This thing is a monster. So awesome.

need to post some updates and pictures. Been quite sometime. Just been wheeling it and having fun. Maybe some pics tonight.

You going to make it to GSMTR Ryan? My 62 grew up since I last went :)

Since you've been driving it for a while now, how's the Isuzu treating you? Anything you'd do different? I'm asking because I have a 90 4BD1T sitting in my garage that I'm planning on pairing with an NV4500 for my 87 60. Love the build thread by the way! Great work!

If you want another report, check the link below my signature. Last page has a recent update on my 4BD2 swap.

Excuse the hijack...

Haha already been through yours too Doug! Another wealth of knowledge! I think @Dazed was the other build that I read. The only progress that I've made with mine so far is striping the engine and installing an OME heavy lift for clearance. I'll be starting a build thread soon, before I start putting the engine back together. There's too much experience on this site to try to go it alone. (Sorry for the hijack bluehawk)

No worries over the hijack. There isn't anything that I would really change. Love the little diesel engine.

Feel free to message me. I tend to check MUD every month or two, so sorry if it takes a while to respond. I ended up selling my rig (buying a house) to a really good home.

Now it doesn't want to do anything. I've put two different batteries in it and the only thing it does is the ignition beeps. Doesn't make any clicking noises and none of the switches or lights work. Anyone have any ideas?

The other day I went to start it and the battery seemed low. Charged the battery and nothing, no noise or anything. Tried to jump it off with my truck and no luck either. Even tried a different battery and still no luck. Checked the fuses and they all look good. The battery connections are good.

Just went back out to check a few things. The headlights work along with the horn. When I was checking earlier, I was checking my ARB air compressor which only comes one when the ignition is turned on. So, could it be a bad ignition switch other things work without the ignition on?

So I got her in the garage and on the lift. Test light shows good at battery positive and negative, shows good at all six wires at ignition, cleaned all grounds to neg and positive to starter and frame with no luck. Pulled the starter and alternator and had both checked at parts store. They both check good. The battery is showing 12v but only around 428 cca out of the 650 it should have. All fuses are good as well. Just remember that I was not getting anything with the turn of the key.

New battery with more CCA's. The only thing that changed is now the air compressor comes on. Noticed that the clock turns off when I turn the ignition switch and the headlights dim. At the advice of a good friend, took the battery out of my F-250 and still nothing. No noise or sounds coming from the starter

Have you verified you’re getting fuel to all injectors? Broken lines open to see if getting to injectors? Checked fuel filter, fuel cutoff solenoid, etc?

I thought I saw earlier in this thread about using an external starter solenoid or relay to protect the ignition switch. Have you checked that or bypassed temporarily to test?

I was going to use a relay but decided against it. I have a lead from the positive battery terminal to the starter and a ground lead from negative side to the frame and then to the engine mount. Cleaned all of these.
Ignition switch?
Had a friend come over and we checked all six wires for the ignition switch and they are getting power.

I may have a bad fusible link. I checked it before but didn't check it while having someone turn the ignition on while I'm checking.

I was goin to run a relay but decided against it. I am running a lead from the positive terminal to starter and a lead from negative terminal to the frame and then to engine mount. This is how it was running before.

Turn ignition on, truck in neutral, and put power to the solenoid signal post on the starter. If the starter turns the engine over, you have a problem in your wiring harness. If it does not turn over, then your starter solenoid is bad. If it clicks but doesn't turn the engine over, your starter motor or solenoid contacts are bad.
