Hi Ehsan,

I'll take two as discussed in my emails to you. Please let me know how much and how you want me to pay.

Thanks,

Chris
2 for you are booked already as you were the first few onee to ask for them.. I only have very limited numbers.. If there is demand for 30-50 odd pieces then I can go for a die and make replicas.

Am I on your list? I was the first to show a interest on this tread. I would like two if available.

Yeah I need to read the thread first. I would love the mounting bracket for the tank. Does anyone have a picture of one mounted on the stock location? Where did they put them, in front of the doors?

OK so what ever became of these carriers from ehsan?

(Bored today so reading old threads)

Alternative gas can:5-Gallon Stainless Steel Jerry Can | Kotula's

Made from stainless steel by Bully.

Appears to be a moderen type sealing cap, a screw on/off vent and a filtered flex spout.

Not too bad for what you get... $149.00

Compared to $20 for NATO cans from the surplus store? You can have that one.

You get stainless so no rust worries....

With that mirrored finish it would reflect heat so the can would not be as prone to venting due to heat expansion. Plus, you could use it as a signal should you get lost. ;)

You get an o-ring sealed vent cap so you can do NASCAR style fill ups ....

You get a screw on o-ring sealed cap with built in spout so you can pour the gas without making a huge mess, and can safely carry the can without fear of it leaking.

Most important of all? Well, you get the bling factor... :grinpimp:

Would I buy one? Probably not, don't really have a true need ... but it is a cool can... :D

My Nato can has all that. I wouldn't do it normally, but it would hold its seal if it fell over. I carry it inside my '40 on trips without worry or fumes. The spout does not leak at all when filling, though it's dog-slow.

I meant to head over to the place I got it and see if they have more. I expect they do.

I thought Iv seen picture or Old Landcruiser adds showing gas cans mounted on FJ40s & 45s behind the fender just ahead the windshield anybody has any pictures please post um Up.

This one I found looks to be a nato can. I'd may be like to do the same with a set one on both sides Toyota can keep there $200. gas can, Nato or Scepter would work fine Just need a good mounting bracket OEM or other wise OEM would be nice...

Now after uploading these images, I realized these aren't OEM fuel holders, but serve the same function. This is mark w.'s rig from this past summer. Hope they add some ideas to your question.
cheers.

Hay Archie !! @Archie 1962 FJ25

I guess somebody changed out the cap? ... that is definitely not a usual oem cap on there ... looks like a traditional early US type Jerry can cap with security tabs instead of the later straight tabs... I take it you don't have access to where these cans are now lol

Most caps were stamped on the inside

Still got it in my garage. I think 1958 FJ25 parts book shows this type of cap. I have got both types of "Toyota Gas Can's" will take pictures side by side for comparison.

I remember that pic... didn't recall the top changing ... but... I can see them with the more common cap with the 25's as they had the pull out gas tank spout option ... they may have changed the can design when they did away with the spout option ?

As the new can has an intergrated spout
