I like my 37x12.5x17 MTR.

Get something you can replace without having to backorder the tire.

37x12.5x16 truxxs mts work great on oem wheels with no spacers. Keep the oem look too. Save $ on wheels. Oem wheels are very stout.

Will a 17x9 3.5 bs fit?
It's a -38 offset. Seems aggressive.

That SCS wheel was made to be an excellent fit for an 80 series. It will be set in 3/4" more than my setup. Should clear nicely, but I'd talk to someone who has them, to be sure. A bunch of Mudders got in on that initial run of wheels.

That's what I was hoping. I know the 17x8.5 4.2 BS will fit but the 17-9 3.5 I'm not so sure about. If you know anyone running them let me know. lol need to order right away

Just for reference... a stock wheel with 1" wheel spacers is a 3.5" BS

With 37s should be no problem... just might need a bit more bumpstop & or more trimming. No a big issue....

Go for it.

Great!!! Thanks for the info. that kind of info should be a sticky. Wheel sizes, widths, backspace and spacers. What will work with flares. No flares. How much minimal cutting is needed etc.

Reason I was concerned because 3.5 bs on a 9 is -38 offset and that just seems like a lot compared to the -12 I'm running now on 16x8

I'm running a 17x9 with a -12 offset and have had no problems with tire/fender clearance. You will need to adjust bump stops accordingly to not hit the inner fender well or bottom out the shocks depending on your setup.

Send me pics please!!!

Why not just run the 37" R16 Interco Truxus? Or find some used Sequoia/Tundra 17" wheels....?

I think he should just go with the 38.5x14.5r16 or 17 TrXus tires... That way I can see what they look like on a 80...
