Lug nuts

Impressive work! I think I have a front door hinge - don't know if they are all the same (driver's, passenger's, upper, lower) but you're welcome to it if you need it.

Thanks Bob! Can I meet you somewhere to pick it up?

Three per wheel are plenty for that test drive, and only one wheel had loose lug nuts...assuming you were referring to the actual truck and not the assembled crew;)

You may be on to something, didn't think about it that way

Receipt of TLCA acknowledgment is now in hand.:)

Building of period-correct carburetor is now under way.

We got the instrument cluster in and tested (except the speedo because we still need a cable). We will need a new temp sending unit. Also got the lights hooked up and working (except the license plate lights because we are still waiting for someone to donate a pair).

Ambi door latches are installed and working (except for the missing bottom striker).

Painted a bunch of bolt heads.

Installed a few other miscellaneous parts.

Please check out the Parts Needed thread to see if you can help us button this up in the next few weeks.

Rebuilt carb is done, and will be on it's way today, along with bump stop extension and ambi door striker.

Mark,

THANK YOU! The wheels will be MUD shipped via GSMTR so things will start to move along in a few weeks.

...and I have the carb...looks like we have enough stuff for a workday, but probably not on Memorial Day weekend. I will be tied up the following weekend, but will drop the stuff off at Jeff's place during the week so it will be there if you guys want to work the weekend of June 1-2. I'll try to have the shocks and seats by then.

any updates?

No updates...a few individuals have worked on the truck since May (Ed did some more wiring, Jon did some misc small parts) but as you can see from the previous posts we have the rebuilt carburetor from Mark's Off Road, and the wheel/tire combo from Atlanta Custom Creations and Tread-Wright tires.

Iron Pig Offroad donated new aftermarket bucket seats, and we acquired new shock absorbers as well (not sure of the source, but think it also was IPOR).

The latest from TLCA BOD is that they've not yet formed a raffle committee (as requested by me last February in the conference call) to determine how the truck is to be raffled, and by whom.

That's too bad. TLCA could REALLY use an infusion of cash right now.

Bay to Blue Ridge Cruisers donated the shocks...Thanks go to Vince and the guys!
