Getting Close
Had a small but efficient turnout yesterday. Stumpalama, Von Hayek and I got several things done despite the heat! Thornton showed up with Little Cruiserhead and dropped off the air cleaner housing.
Carb, wheels, tires, and license plate bracket/lights are mounted and looking good. Bart also mounted two of the four shocks and the spare tire carrier while Stump mounted the driver seat.
What stopped further progress was:
- We are missing rubber bushings for one of the front shocks; the boxes were torn open in transit so I suspect the rubber bushings fell out and were lost
- We also need 4 castle nuts and 4 washer sets to mount the remaining two shocks
- We need the tire carrier bumper and latch plate
- The air cleaner housing needs some love and a few gaskets
- The passenger seat bracket needs some paint
What remains to be done? Lots of small details. Some paint touch-up on the windshield frame, mount the windshield, install wiper assembly, door bushings and passenger door, and finish the electrical commissioning tests by Professor Ed.

so his name and business can be associated with the build as well.
