I like to see new/different ideas . Not that I'd use it myself though.Finally unboxed my ARC intake. Probably not any functional gain to be had since it will pull air from inside the engine bay, but it will add some engine bay bling, LOL!
Maybe a bonnet scoop that seals to the top of the box when the bonnet shuts for cooler airflow

I did not get the snorkel. My coworker is a fabricator on the side so I figured it was cheaper and easier to have him do one later than to pay shipping on it. The box was expensive enough and I needed it more than a snorkel.

$1k seems like a pretty poor value IMO, though it is a nice piece.
Has anyone just run a 3" cone filter instead of the stock air box? I'm wondering if flowing through a higher flow filter would offset not having the colder air from the fender... and 3" filters are really cheap.
I ran a cone filter in the engine bay of my 60 with a 3b and when I went to stock air box and added a snorkel I dropped 100f Max egt, turbo spooled sooner and the engine mademore power. Engine bay cone filter really would be my very last choice. I dare say almost anything is an improvement.
Filtration quality would also be a major draw back on a cone filter.
OEM filters have been shown to provide better filtration, so a far better option if you're car ever sees dirt
