Maybe also worth verifying that the check valve is oriented the right direction.
Pull that AFM and perform the system check outlined in the FSM. I know you had things re-soldered after you pulled the plug, but I replaced mine on good faith that it was a working used unit and it ended up being junk. It was acting exactly like yours in the video you posted.
I may have a extra hard line if you need it.I’m starting the tear down for the OEM fuel pump, new MR2 regulator and such that should be landing this week. I also got a banjo fitting with a 6mm (1/4”) hose barb end I’m going to use from the regulator for return. My hardline has a tiny pinhole in it. It looks like it will work fine.

You either weren’t holding your tongue just right, or you didn’t eat your Wheatie’s that morning@cruiseroutfit got me my valve cover gasket early. I put a little FIGP on it to keep it from popping out while I wiggled the damn cover in place.
I put the pump in place with the banjo fitting suggested above. I tried to use braided line but the fitting would not make it over the metal. Likely the wrong pressure fitting so I just went with EFI rated hose.
