Yup.
Pretty sure this wouldn't pass muster with the VA DMV.

Disproving my own theory...

John Hughes + 1980's = awesomeness

The numbers in this article are messing with my head… what is the methodology here?!?

16% of land cruisers make it past 200k miles…

4% of 4runners…

None of the numbers in this article make sense? They’re saying that 84% of land cruisers die before 200k and 96% of 4runners? And tacomas have a 97% failure rate before 200k?

I guess the basic message is buy a Land Cruiser? But it doesn’t even list any Lexus products so does that mean they all fail at a greater than 97% rate before 200k?

edit: further analysis concludes that “auto journalism” is in a sad downward spiral. Apparently the author was simply pulling numbers from trade-ins at dealership. This number has very little to do with a percentage potential of a vehicle to go beyond 200k… it doesn’t consider the value of trade in vs the value to keep it or capture the mileage when a vehicle goes to scrap etc.

It is extremely dangerous when people who don't understand statistics and data analytics try to use statistics and data analytics.
I'm pretty sure that's how we got the Pontiac Aztec.

Back to this... Saw this in Mt Airy, NC this weekend. That's Mt Pilot to all you Andy Griffith fans out there.

That SA video is some seriously insane s***.
Interesting that he's carrying an AR with an ACOG.
I swear when the passenger pulls the rifle up from between the seats, the selector is on "Fire."
He runs the charging handle and I think a round is ejected. At least he has some finger discipline.
