I might go here, the guy at All-Parts recommended them too.

If at all possible I would go there as recommended.

I had a brand new Oreily's alternator fail out of the box.
Rig is looking sharp BTW, makes me miss my past 60's.

Toyota reman.

So the new alternator I got matches but the pully is different and it doesn't have a condenser.

Viper, do you think a dealer would.have one in stock? Because if so I might just return this one and go get one of those.

From what i can remember i had to transfer the pulley and regulator, check with the parts guru here on mud maybe they can give you a discount.i could get you one but you have to drive all the way to Pittsburg to get it.:bang:

I came home from work on Thursday night, and my truck was facing the opposite way in the driveway as when I left in the morning. Apparently my Dad got out of a meeting much earlier than he expected, and went to autolectrics and had them swap the pulley, then went home and installed it. The guy there said that you don't need the little regulator on the back, so I don't have one.

My Dad is awesome. Were taking welding classes today, and I am going to try to take him go-karting for fathers day.

Nice job DAD! this is coming out of your allowance you know or you have to do some of your DAD's honey do's.you better take him out on Fathers day or i will go over at your house and steal your rig and sell it for parts.LMAO just kidding of course,i don't know if my kids are planning on taking me out (11&9)it will still come out of my pocket anyways.LOL.

A little late on posting this but I installed a CB radio last weekend. Its just a cheap little cobra, but it will work for what I plan to use it for.

Im going camping this week and my dad wanted me to get one so he could tell me how to get where were going if our trucks get seperated.

I mounted it by drilling and tapping two holes in the bottom of the dash. Getting myself to drill those holes took a few days....

I don't really like having the mic on that side, but it will be fine for now.

The antenna is just a small magnet base one that was next to the radios at Fry's. I'll add a pic in a few minutes.

A few more things I forgot to add about the radio: the radio itself cost around $40, and the antenna was about $20. If you plan on mounting one where I did, you will have to drill through a decently thick dash brace, and not just the thin sheet metal I originally thought it would be (that's the reason I tapped the mounting holes)

The radio worked great and the mount didn't rattle or move at all while on the trail. The signal was clear and the controls were simple to get used to, although I think I would want to get a bigger antenna in the future to have better range. It really came in handy on the mountain roads when trying to pass the giant street sweeper thing, (pics from trip coming soon), with my Dad further up the road letting me know when the coast was clear to pass.

when you get the bigger antennas, make sure you get a spring at the base, i broke both of my antennas trailing! :P

^^^^lol ;)

Holy F-in' Picture Dump!!!!

This next one was from our second campsite, the first one we stayed at Monday night was ridiculously infested with mosquitoes, and we couldn't stand it so we drove up the Gold Lake Highway a little more to the Gold Lake campgrounds... much better! I took the pic because my brother said "hey Darrell, your truck looks pretty good from here, you should take a pic..." I can't resist the chance to take another picture of my 60! :p

As we were about to leave to head home, and I was finishing filling up my tank in Downieville, Ca, this guy pulled up at the other pump. This truck was ABSOLUTELY awesome to look at. Its the Lexus version of the 100 series, fully decked out with an OME lift, sliders, ARB bumpers, loaded roof rack with RTT, full lenght LED light bar, and all the gear you would ever need. It was sick. I said hi to the guy but I don't think he realized he was parked next to the grandpa of his truck; he did wave when we pulled out and my brother pointed my camera his way though. :)

I also got to meet T-Bones 60 and his brother and their 60's.... his truck IS really as nice as those pics make it look!

Over all it was a great trip and an awesome learning experience with it being my first time offroad. The only problem was that it had to end so soon! Life is starting to move way too quickly for me right now!!!

Great pics dude. You got some talent as a photographer there, most have nice composition and you did well with backlit items. Looks like you guys had fun and the truck did well for you. Since the CB is kinda an odd place I would disconnect the mic when you are not planning to use it, just get things out of the way (I am a bit of a neat freak for stuff like that).

Great photos, those mountains and your 60 look awesome. I believe that Lexus was built by Mudrak in Sonoma. I was there a few months ago and saw it in his shop in its final stages. It has a complete built in solar panel system. Gary was expaling/showing it to me. Your cruiser is really turning out nice.
