Looking for feedback. I have decided to replace my soft brake lines weekend after this one. I have looked ad nauseum online at the usual vendors. I don’t do much wheeling at this point. I have HFS 2.5 inch lift. Seems like extended would be the way to go. Throw me your opinions on the stainless steel “harder pedal feel” theory (seems a bit of a stretch to me). Where to buy, etc. Thanks in advance.

I just ordered a new set of soft brake hoses from Toyota, for what it’s worth.

The last set that I bought from a vendor turned out to be made in China, so I’m hoping that OEM is better quality, regardless of where it’s made.
 
@cbmontgo Stock length? You have the same lift correct? Part number?

FWIW: When I installed my 2" OME lift, I didn't add any brake line extensions. Also, just a few years ago, I redid all the brakes and installed new OEM brake soft lines.

Not sure on the 'stainless steel' question.

I’ve never noticed a harder pedal with stainless soft lines, but maybe you would going from older rubber to new stainless?
If you’re interested in longer lines, I have a 2.5” procomp lift on my 1970 and I used 2002 Tundra rear brake hoses for both front and rear frame to axle, they are 20” long. Gave me a few inches over stock length.

Stock length for the fronts. Center hose is 96940-32605 and the two at the calipers are 96920-32255 according to my Toyota guy. I am picking them up later this week.

I used an extended CCOT rear brake line (22"?) for Pikachu, but the '76 still has the stock rear line. I am going to extend it with one of my NOS OEM longer hoses I have, but I've got to see which one fits. I'll try to remember to post up the part number when I do.
 
FYI. CCOT 22” - made in Taiwan
 
In have learned this lesson before yet chose to ignore it this time. I ordered the soft brake lines Friday from
McGeorge. Climbed under the 40 yesterday to apply some PB Blaster as I recalled seeing the corrosion on the front lines. Then got to the rear to discover the PO had installed all SS braided lines likely when the rear disc conversion was done. Looks like I’ll have 2 spare soft lines in my stash.
 
Drove it to my side hustle and got a sweet window photo

Just over 200 miles logged with the sniper. Performance overall is amazing. I’ll have MPGs the next time I fill up. Coupled with the new shocks it is so much more fun to drive.
First piece of the weekend project arrived yesterday. The other pieces are scheduled to drop today.
