Yeah, I cringe at comments such as the opening stating that prior to this, the largest stash investigated was 50.

One of the most impressive gun collections I have seen short of the Springfield Amory and the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody, WY was a collection in a small town in North Alabama. An older gentleman had about a 5,000 square foot three story Victorian home that had long guns stacked side by side along every inch of every wall on the first two floors and the third floor was handguns. Many, many historically significant pieces in that collection that has long since been liquidated but I'd hate to see what "big city" press would say about that collection ....

WTB .... would like to find a .357 lever gun. Prefer to stay away from Rossi.

thanks.

Man after my own heart rice. I like lever guns myself. .357 is somewhat popular in Cowboy action shooting. Matched to the pistol.

Can't help with that caliber, but suggest you join Marlin Owners forum and look there. Some buys can be had there ..,,

I'm sure if I did enough searching I would find this, however, has anyone picked up a G43 and have some feedback. I am thinking of one for the :princess:

@SeanLX might be able to provide some insight here. @Mtbcoach as well.

I've held a number and shot two. I'm a fan. However, in order for me to realistically use the G43, I need the finger extension on the mag. My hand doesn't work on the gun without it.

Other than that, no complaints!

My next pistol purchase will be another G43, last one I bought was for my oldest daughter.

And, I agree with Johnny, finger extensions make it much easier to get a good grip. There are already manufacturers making +2 extensions for the G43 mags.

I've only run Winchester White box 9mm ammo through it, no hick-ups or issues. I'm going to run a box of +p through it to see how it feels with some snappy ammo.

Otherwise, it's the most concealable 9mm pistol I'd be comfortable carrying...

I like the way a G43 shoots. It really feels like a small glock.

but it fits people's hands differently, I was very surprised to find that it's more comfortable in my hand without the extension. Maybe the +2 aftermarket Jerry mentioned would be better.

I could not hold it well without the +1 mag but my wife may think otherwise and it's really for her. I have an FNX-45 that really doesn't do anything for me so was thinking of trading it on the G43.

Thanks.

You probably realize but just to be clear to others reading the glock mag extension on the 43 is not a +1. It holds the same 6 rounds and the extension is just a place to put your finger. 1 mag with and 1 without come in the box.

+1 or +2 really would be nice.

The glock-made extension is just a finger rest, but the aftermarket does have +1 and +2 bottom plates for the 43.

Glock finger extension:

Plus 1 and plus 2 extensions (there are others, this is just an example):

Doh. I am typically very precise in my explanations (both an occupational hazard and a requirement). Should have said that better.

I know it is not a glock but my SCCY is a decent bargain ($280ish) comparable size and holds 10+1 and comes with both type baseplates

And it comes in pink.

Will have to do some more research. She shot my Sig p238 and did not care for it which is not incredibly different from the g43 in terms of size and power. Could be she wants to stay with a Walther p22 and be done with it.

^^ I hope she is ready to fire as that finger is on the trigger.

I'd love to shoot a 43 before buying. I am struggling with adopting a new set of magazines when every magazine in my house works with all my 9MM guns :(

I would like to carry more and I'm sure the 43 is much easier than my old 26, which I got tired of shooting and decided to just carry the 19.

Ugh . . .keep forgetting a permit is required to buy a gun here - you'd think we live in CA or IL or something! :\ :)

Or you can move to SC ;)

Or you can get your Concealed Carry Permit, and then you don't need the purchase permits.

Hmm - I have 3 years left on my KS CCP . . . Hmmm
