Try Georgia Arms ammo as well. High quality stuff that I have used for 20 years or so ... including hunting ammo.

I'll have to look them up!

Damn! Never seen a 100 yard indoor range before!

The Wake County Firearms Center is a pretty awesome place. People bring the craziest weapons out to plink away at the 100 yard range.

The S&W 460 I posted above was a hand cannon, but bigger rifles are a common sight. I can't remember if it was a .308 Lapua or a .338 Lapua that a guy had out at the range time before last, but holy crap, what a boom!

Try the boom from a 2" .44 Mag with full bore ammo on for size sometime. It is not fun to shoot, but it is designed to keep brown hairy things from stomping you into the ground ;)

Damn, that is amazing, never have seen an indoor range that big either.

Sam, I have a Marlin 444 that I shoot once in a while but it is rather pricey. BIG boom

.450 Marlin and what it stops with one shot at 75 yards

Horrible pic quality

Very cool Sam, he'd look good wrapped in Bacon.

Yes, he would .... if he wasn't 95% in hamburger or sausage :bang:

Did I mention I didn't even notice the boom ;)

No feeling in your shoulder anymore? :) You'll like this....

My wife's two nephews were up from AL and wanted to do some shooting, we have a natural range into a ravine on the property. Her oldest nephew considers himself a gun guy. Well he wanted to shoot the 444 and I asked if he ever shot a gun like that with a scope. Of course he has, how silly of me to ask. Well he shot and nosed himself with the scope. Picture a 6'6" 280lb guy doing everything within his power not to cry. I told him to go ahead an cry, that had to hurt like heck.

Heather laughs when I shoot that rifle and another off the front porch at a target down in the ravine.

Note that this one is mounted in a scout position ;)

The scope on my .338 taps my glasses with every shot and it is mounted as far forward as possible. Must be something about shooting full bore 250gr loads out of a 6 3/4 pound rifle ....

Ahem... The WCFETC measures in meters, not yards. Ya, know, just so you can more accurately dial in that scope next time.:p

 I could have sworn it was yards, but oh well. It's a long ass range at any rate.

100m > 100y

Anyone here other than me have a dedicated rig/truck gun?
Opening floodgates now! Not that anybody here would want to advertise or anything.

But...dedicated truck gun. There's a thread here somewhere from a guy in TX a number of years back that chopped a hole in his 80 roof and mounted something full auto. Fabbed up the ring and everything, IIRC. Sold it a little while later. Now THAT was a truck gun.

Been wanting a 300blk for awhile now, and since the craziness has died down, I picked up a few stripped Anderson lowers for <$50 a piece. Here's my latest build, 8" 300blk pistol which makes for a perfect truck gun

Oh man that's pretty.

Do you have a removable suppressor for it as well or is the suppressor integrated into the barrel?

Funny you brought up 300blk - I'm waiting on tax stamps for a SBR w/ a muffler in 300blk.
It's a Spikes Tac Compressor, so we'll see what it's like once I get my stamps-so far all I know is it was pretty to look at while filing for it.

Yea, the Wake County Range is a nice place. Some days it takes a while for them to go cold so you can change targets but it's worth it for a 100 yard (or meter) indoor. Plus it's only a few miles from my house.

You do see some interesting things out there sometimes cool, sometimes a little strange. I've only shot a .338 Lapua outside, I bet there's a big bang inside a building.
