Yea, the Wake County Range is a nice place. Some days it takes a while for them to go cold so you can change targets but it's worth it for a 100 yard (or meter) indoor. Plus it's only a few miles from my house.

You do see some interesting things out there sometimes cool, sometimes a little strange. I've only shot a .338 Lapua outside, I bet there's a big bang inside a building.

I keep forgetting to tell you when I'm headed down there! I swear I'll remember one of these days.

If over the holidays send me a PM. Would really like seeing a 100m (109.361 yards) indoor range.

10-4, will do buddy.

Oh ... also picked up this a few months ago.

Now that is pretty. How is the trigger?

I'm only 100 or so rounds into it but very nice. A few hundred more and will then decide if any polishing is called for. Look forward to getting to know her a little better.

Very nice! I love the SR1911. Almost bought one instead of the Range Officer. Had I not come across a good deal on the RO, I probably would've ended up with the Ruger.

Funny you brought up 300blk - I'm waiting on tax stamps for a SBR w/ a muffler in 300blk.
It's a Spikes Tac Compressor, so we'll see what it's like once I get my stamps-so far all I know is it was pretty to look at while filing for it.

I'd like to know how you like that - looks REALLY nice. I considered one, but Spike's wouldn't sell without the silencer, so I decided to just swap out my 16" barrel on my existing 300 BLK. The Efile on the SBR took about 4.5 weeks, but wasn't too bad - literally got it last week!

I need to still sight in my scope on the new barrel. Here is my current build:

300 BLK: Seekins MCSRv2 10" hand guard, 10.5" stainless 300 BLK barrel, Spikes Upper w/ BCG, LMT Lower, Magpul STR, Thunder Beast 30P-1, EOTech XPS2 (or a Burris 3-9x)

Today I put the Carrier Comp Titanium Ext Mag on my Benelli M4. Looks nice and frees up some weight for the Silencerco Salvo I have coming due in around February. I had my 12-yr-old daughter using the infrared thermo to check temp, while my 16-yr old son used a heat gun on the receiver - - while I was cranking on the old magazine to get it off - wasn't easy - Benelli put a crap load of lock-tite like stuff on it. :) I purchased that shotgun about a year ago and have used it for anything and everything - its heavy, but with a two-point strap, its fine to walk/hunt/clay with.

Edit: I put a pic up of a couple things I am working on :)

@weejub - Yeah, I'm really interested in how well it holds to claims & the cycle when pushing subs through it - it's going to be a bit, literally did paperwork this week so just started the clock - will post results when in my grubby mitts!

Feeling very privileged and special, combo birthday/Christmas gift to myself with "permission" from wife and girls. Been jones'n for a "real" sidearm, first true 1911 handgun I've owned.

Friggen beautiful if I don't say so myself, heading to the range in the am to run a few through the pipe to break it in...

Actually, when I had a chance to hold your pistol at the barn pushed me over the edge. Its all your fault, at least that's what I told Regina.

Thanks Allen, hope to test it's longevity by throwing plenty of lead through it...

Glad I could help out. :D

Fair warning, 1911s are addictive ;)

Let me know if anyone is hitting the range between 12/28 and 1/4 around the raleigh area. Would like to get out there.

Had to take the new Kimber for a run today, due to the weather, I opted to visit my friends at the PDHSC in Garner. I drug Mikaela with me so she could get a feel of shooting a .45 cal since we are shopping for her first pistol for CCW. She was able to handle the Kimber well...

First target at 10 yards, not bad accuracy right out of the box for one of us...
