Go here: http://www.mcmaster.com , search for "duct hose", choose the internal diameter, etc. on the left and narrow down what you want. They have lots of different choices. They ship promptly and usually cheaply.

I've been considering installing some kind of booster fan in my defrost circuit; hardly any air comes out of there. Rebuilding the heater box made a big difference but it's still too wimpy on defrost. I think my '82 hoses are smaller than yours though and that's probably the problem.

Thanks for the reminder. I don't know why I didn't think of McMaster Carr. I just ordered from them today.

It doesn't look like they have anything that fits the bill. Looks like I will go with Summit. :meh:

I am designing some mounts to put a 13 inch LED bar on the front bumper. I am going to order from Steve at Southeast Overland but can't decide if I want flood, spot or a combo...

The LED fad will be over before you get that mounted!

Make sure to post up how they work.. my hoses are junk

This stuff is really nice. It is hard vinyl with the reinforcing wire but super flexible.

You can see the difference.

As well as how flexible it is.

So that is the 2.5 inch duct from Summit made by Dayco part 80170, defroster duct hose, Dayco autoflex.

Passenger side...

I hope I didn't dislodge any wiring with all the pushing and shoving. I had to pretty much stand on my head to get it in there.

I have about 20 inches left over so one piece is more than enough.
You should go ahead and get this stuff Aaron. It is pretty nice.

I know what I'm ordering for the pig!

I am pleased and a bit surprised - stuff isn't supposed to work that well!

I got the s***ty poly tank all sealed up using some sealer I got form Summit. I had to make a new pickup. Since the tank was a little warped the original one was sucking to the bottom of the tank. I made one with an AN fitting and solders some aluminum tubing to it and bent the end so that would not happen again. So it is back roadworthy again. I have not driven it much since I got the newly machined head on. Looking forward to that.

Got the front seat back in and added some velcro strips around the front zippers on the Eshan top where the zippers flap against the side of the truck a bit.

I also got my LED light brackets half built. I will post a pic of those after I knock the schlag off 'em.

And for those of you who do not know becasue you do not wander into Chat, I got my orders and have to report to Manila April 7 so the truck is going to have to be tucked away someplace pretty soon. :crybaby:

Didn't work exactly as I planned due to the width of the light. I may trim the mounts a bit to get the light a bit closer to the bumper. I had planned to lean the mounts forward but they are right where the bend begins.
