WF you should have scheduled us later in the year Andy yall would have been 11-1 instead.

As for Lou Holtz he is without a doubt the worst announcer on the planet USC could be playing Ohio St and he would say the cocks will win by 20 he ALWAYS picks any team he coached for and all the rest of the time he just picks the team thats favored not that you can understand half of what comes out of his mouth.

Yeah, I agree, Lou Holtz is a crappy "homer" of an announcer.
I would point out, since you used Ohio St as the example, that
Lou took them to the woodshed two years in a row on New Year's day a
while back. :grinpimp:
Glad there is NO CHANCE of a re-match this year.
Of course the pundits gave po old USC no chance those two years too.
Ya never know....that's why they play the game on a field and not
in some studio.

Had to log on to tell you congrats on a good game David. Sucks for us CU fans but we've had a good run and a L every once in a while helps fuel the series right? Both teams behaved well and besides one drunk USC fan faceplanting coming out of the corridor near us the crowd behaved well for both sides too.

I hate the end of college football season!!!!!! 1 more game and it's all over till next season! :crybaby:

priceless quote

News 4 here in the upstae just ran a video clip from the coaches meeting
at midfield AFTER the game.
Tommy to SOS "Why don't you just go on to Miami, that way I'd only have to face you every five years!"
ROFLMAO...Old Ball Coach puttin' worms in Tommy's head!
SOS didn't look like he appreciated the "humor". He's hanging around
po ol USC for a while. Count on it!
Man, that was priceless. :grinpimp:

Stupidity reaches a new level...

Wow. Just, wow.

Quote:Lexington County Sheriff’s Department detectives charged a Lexington man with murder after they say he fatally shot another man Saturday with a high-powered rifle during a dispute about a bet that the men had made on the Clemson-Carolina game.

Investigators say Quick and Johnson, who are good friends, bet $20 on the outcome of the Clemson-USC football game. Quick bet on USC winning, while Johnson bet on Clemson.

Metts say after the game ended, Quick and Johnson began arguing about their bet on the football game while they were outside of the house. Authorities believe the two had been drinking beer all afternoon. Investigators say that during the argument, Quick went to his car and retrieved a high-powered rifle that he normally uses for hunting.

Quick then turned towards Johnson and fired one shot from the rifle at him, striking him in the chest.

Over $20????? WOW!

that's terrible. and how bout that class act Mike Vick. Nice way to treat the fans. I think he learned that from his brother.

I have suffered through 20 yrs of Falcons mediocrity here in Atlanta :frown: Vick is a glorified college QB who will never lead them to a Superbowl. Great highlights, but not a "winner".

That's why I'm a Redskins fan

Oh... and Go Dawgs!!! Maybe we don't suck this year!

As for sec football who cares your all OVERRATED auburn looked bad against lowly usc perpetual sec bottomfeeder. GA barely beat colorado who is winless and are espns most overrated team. Floridas offense is feeble wait til they play a team with a good defense. UT might be the only one not overrated.

I'm willing to bet a 6 pack of PBR that all those teams Auburn, UGA, Florida, and UT rank higher than Clemson at the end of the season.

I don't get it. The 5 teams in the SEC that are ranked the lowest is still better than the highest of the 5 in the ACC.

Okay so your losing, pretty much lost this bet.

Clemson didn't get a vote. Heck even South Carolina got 3.

So do you want to concede or do you want to look for hanging chads?

Wow, at the beginning of the year I never thought I'd see 4 ACC teams in the top 25 ranking at the end of the regular season without Clemson being one of them.

Tough year, Clemson had a great squad on paper. They are young though and should be back in it next year.

Way to be selective on your polls Marshall we still got votes in the coaches poll in fact we are still ranked higher then SC in it. There are also still games to be played a bowl win for us and a loss by UGA or UT could change it all again.

Andy you making the trip to Jacksonville? If not you should come down and watch it, a little beer and food and we'll take you downtown so you can find a sorority girl just like your college days except the football team is 10-2 instead of 2-10.

Coaches poll.

honorable mention.

Others receiving votes: TCU 41; Houston 19; Oregon State 16; Georgia 15; Penn State 8; Maryland 7; Clemson 6; South Carolina 2

Your still losing. lol

We will see how the bowl games play out I am a few points in either poll away from winning this bet.

I agree with JP its bball season go tigers. 7-0 now and we just whipped an SEC chump. South Carolina this weekend we'll be going for 3 straight in that series.

More School Records for the Deacons - ACC Awards!!

Wake Forest Places School Record Nine On All-ACC Team Five Demon Deacons named first team, one second team and three honorable mention

Nov. 27, 2006
GREENSBORO, N.C. - In a record-setting regular season for Wake Forest football it is appropriate that the Demon Deacons set another school record by placing nine players on the All-Atlantic Coast Conference team announced today by the league office.
Five Deacons were named first team All-ACC, tying Clemson for the most first-team selections. One Wake Forest player earned second team All-ACC honors and three others were named honorable mention. The selections were made by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.

Wake Forest's nine All-ACC selections break a school record of six shared by the 1970 ACC championship team and the 1992 Deacon team. In 1970 there were only seven teams in the league, but just one all-conference team selected. In 1992 there were nine teams in the ACC. Wake's five first team selections rank second only to the six chosen first team in 1970.

Two members of the Wake Forest offensive line -- senior tackle Steve Vallos and junior center Steve Justice -- were named to the first team. Vallos, an honorable mention selection last season and an All-American candidate in 2006, and Justice have both played 709 snaps this year. Vallos has started all 46 games of his career and Justice owns a 22-game starting streak.

Two Deacon defenders -- junior linebacker Jon Abbate and senior safety Josh Gattis -- were named to the first team. Abbate, who ranks sixth in the ACC with 8.1 tackles per game against league opponents, is on track to become the third player in ACC history to lead his team in tackles for three straight years. Gattis, an honorable mention All-American last season, is the only player in the ACC with five interceptions and 70 tackles this season.

Sophomore Sam Swank was a two-time honoree. The Lou Groza Award and Ray Guy Award semifinalist was named first team All-ACC as placekicker. He is just one of five sophomores to earn first team All-ACC. Swank was also named honorable mention at punter.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Riley Skinner was named second team All-ACC. Skinner, who became the Deacon starter when Benjamin Mauk went down with an injury in the season opener, leads the ACC in passing efficiency, completion percentage and interception rate.

Senior defensive end Jyles Tucker and senior safety Patrick Ghee were named honorable mention All-ACC.

Wake Forest (5) and Clemson (5) led the way with the most first team selections, followed by Georgia Tech (4) and Virginia Tech (3). Georgia Tech had the most overall selections with 10, followed by Clemson (9) and Maryland (9).

Wake Forest, 10-2 and champion of the ACC's Atlantic Division, will take on Georgia Tech Saturday at 1 p.m. for the ACC Championship in Jacksonville, Fla.

Abbate, Gattis, Vallos all earned All-ACC recogition in previous seasons. Abbate was an honorable mention pick as a freshman and sophomore. Gattis was a second-team selection in 2005. Vallos was a first team offensive guard as a sophomore and honorable mention choice at tackle as a junior.

The ACC Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year award will be announced on Tuesday evening. The ACC's Offensive, Defensive and Player of the Year awards will be announced on Wednesday evening.

Any guesses on ROY - should be between Skinner and Spiller IMO. COY?? :D
