Don't forget none of those other teams offered him membership at Augusta National. THAT doesn't come with a price tag and IMHO is a huge bonus for the USC package at OBC's age. Hootie deserves alot of credit for that one. (not hootie and the blowfish) Like David said, money ain't everything but if your a golfer, Augusta National CERTAINLY is. :D

Wow, you're playing Kentucky-that's quite a bit different from playing Auburn, LSU, Florida, Arkansas, or Tennessee.

They don't totally suck... they are just the 7th to 8th best SEC team. They'd have done much better in the ACC ;)
 
Kentucky should be an easy foe for the real cats...the Tigers.
I think CU is an 11 point favorite as I type. Wilcats have had their worst
problems with running QBs and draw plays. Spiller runs wild in this one
if Proctor runs just enough to make 'em sweat. It's Proctor's last game
so I look for him to let it all hang out. Tigers in a romp. +14. Watch for
some of those QB draws to feature Spiller taking direct snaps like
Arky does with their awesome running back.
Po old Gamecocks struggle with the passing game of Houston. Too close to call.

I agree UK cant stop the run both back should light it up this game Davis has a month to get healthy. USC should win but it will be tough against the best passing team they have seen in several weeks. WF loses by 10+ they cant stop that firepower on the Louisville side they havent seen that type of offense this yr and will have no answers just like everyone else.

SEC has 5 in the top 20... KY isn't even close to top 20.

UGA is getting votes and would end up top 20 with a win over VT who's probably the strongest ACC team right now. Stafford isn't the QB he was for the KY and Vandy games as two straight wins over ranked opponents shows. His freshman jitters are over... time for his march to the NFL.

That puts KY 7th at best. USC is better, so 8th... Bama is ranked higher as well to maybe 9th best... or 3rd worst?

That said, CU will kill em. If they don't it would be a huge upset to say the least.

FLA will shock OSU. I think OSU is already clearing out space for the trophy they won't win... cocky to say the least.

LSU destroys ND. ND can't play in bowl games and got killed by a team that lost to two unranked opponents (the other USC isn't the second coming anymore and never should have been).

Gotta love this time of year :cheers:

Although it wasn't a high scoring game, that was one of the best games of my life to attend. The euphoria within the Wake community all weekend was incredible. The happiness and celebration after the game is something I'll never forget.

This has all been so surreal, what a year!!! Miami for New Years!

Already have my tix and travel plans squared away. Orange Bowl here we come!!! :D

That's just the pundits talking...

And no one was on USC's level last year, and UCLA wasn't on USC's level this year.

OSU has played nowhere near the schedule FLA has. Mich exposed OSU at home. FLA has been battling week after week. OSU isn't going to intimidate them. FLA defense is for real.

Any given game anyone can win, and this is the kind of game where the underdog will have nothing to lose but has the talent to win.

Low scoring game... I'm thinking FLA 17 - 14 (As a UGA guy, this is painful) :crybaby:

Oh... and I think Mich will be exposed by an over-rated USC and lose by 14+
 
I am sure a lot of you have seen this or know about it but you really need to watch this clip - it is incredibly moving and helps put things in perspective.

Wake will always have doubters and detractors for various reasons but stories like this are one of many reasons the Wake family / team has been able to pull together, prove the haters wrong and play with strength and conviction this year.

Yeah good point... OSU did ONLY beat 2 #2 teams in the country... Texas at the time and Mich... and 4 ranked teams at the time they played... Florida played 4 as well... none above #8 at the time... i would say that their schedules are at least close... come on now please no more "SEC is the best" ridiculous comments ;)
