Bang Bang
Age is a state of mind.
If I did it, it would look like I did it. So I opted for something a little more professional.

Found the post, Trasharoo without tire or ladder? - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/trasharoo-without-tire-or-ladder.1259886/#post-13986309 Post #11Thanks for the info! I'll do some searching about this, and may even do a test fit!
Thanks for the link. I had the same experience with my Trash-a-roo. In fact, last weekend, it made it's way into the trash because it was so torn up. With my tailgate table & swignouts, it might be hard for me to implement what you did there, so I think I may relocate the camera and run the bag on the spare tire. Curious, what brand did you go with on the new brand?Found the post, Trasharoo without tire or ladder? - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/trasharoo-without-tire-or-ladder.1259886/#post-13986309 Post #11
You'll see my 'ol torn up Trash-a-Roo strapped to the rear door.
I've since just purchased a new one a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully this brand lasts longer than the Trash-a-Roo.

Great insight! Now that my (brand name) Trash-a-Roo is also in the trash, I'll probably purchase the item that you linked....although I need to relocate my camera (again)....I went with this:
Amazon product ASIN B07VTNPFC7
Pretty highly rated on Amazon.
Also, my (brand name) Trash-a-Roo, the top flap that cinches down over the bag openeing and is also a zippered pouch just was torched by the sun over several years. It was to the point that if you barely touched it, it would shred. First the top of the zippered pouch, then after I tore that off because it was shredded, the bottom layer did the same thing in about a year. Now there was nothing to cover the opening of the bag. That's when I purchased a different brand.
What did hold up very well was the bag itself, e.g.: the bottom and sides, all the nylon webbing straps, and everything else. The only thing that didn't last was that top zippered flat. That was made out of some type of nylon sheet material, but I don't think nylon because it didn't hold up well.
So, the new bag by All-Top has the same material over the entire bag! The bag itself (bottom, sides, back, etc.) AND the TOP FLAP! If Trash-a-Roo used the same material the entire bag including the top flap, the Trash-a-Roo would have held up great. So this new bag has the same heavy material for everything including the top flap. I have never used that zippered pouch in the top flap of the Trash-a-Roo, so I'll never miss it.
If the material on this All-Top are as good as the material on the bottom and sides of the Trash-a-Roo, it should hold up a very long time!
They do look good! Although I may cry once for that price, but it'll be one heck of a long cry!By far the best tire trash carrier. Made in the USA and excellent quality buy once, cry once.

Choose what you want. If the construction is similar to the Trasharoo it will last maybe two season, maybe. I’ve been down this road. I‘m at a point in my life that spending money on cheap equipment is pointless.$300 for a trash bag??? I can buy 6 of the Amazon bags Richard posted, and even if they only last me 3-4 years each I still get 18 - 24 years of use. I don't mind the buy once cry once mentality (as I am currently on that plan with most things for the GX) but this isn't one that I will partake in.........
It’s like anything else - you probably get what you pay for. The question is - is one of those cheaper bags “good enough” and for a vast majority (including me), it probably is.Choose what you want. Cheap equipment seams to always fail at the worst time, is functionally frustrating, and doesn’t do what I need it to do.
I’ve been on the trail every weekend since mid April and will be until a late June break. Not only do I haul my own waste but if needed clients waste, let alone some losers waste that they feel they need to discard on our public lands.
Quick question Washingtontaco: were the failures on your bags the same as mine? Did the top cover/flap just deteriorate to nothing?Choose what you want. I've seen a brand new trasharoo last 4 months in AZ sun before fabric fails so the cost/time ratio is not as peachy as your math for some.$300 for a trash bag??? All of the above. Spring here is a lot of rain, followed by dry and sun. Strap failures, stitching, buckles cracked/broken. Strap blown out carrying firewood.Quick question Washingtontaco: were the failures on your bags the same as mine? Did the top cover/flap just deteriorate to nothing?
For me the material and even stitching used on the rest of the Trash-a-Roo held up great, it was just the material they used on the top flap.
That sparks another interesting question - what stuff do you all leave On or in your truck and what stuff do you load in/out?I get what all of you are saying. However, for me and how I wheel / camp / travel, that is not an expense I am willing to take on. I have the Ironman version of these bags. I’ve had it for several years and is in great shape. But until I got the GX I didn’t have a place for it to reside on any of my part time daily drivers. Even now I don’t keep it on the rig 24/7. 3 buckles and it comes off to be stowed in the garage. But that’s just me.![]()
Not sure I want to say, in case anyone on this forum is with a questionable background and should spot my rig. That sparks another interesting question - what stuff do you all leave On or in your truck and what stuff do you load in/out?
