Didn't fish, but some Saturday night insomnia found me in the basement going through tackle. Lots of tackle. Insane amounts of tackle. I got a good list going now of things I need. Y'all know what I mean.
I even found a nice (meaning never dunked in saltwater!) reel I used once and forgot about. It's going out with me this week on a 7' bass/redfish/trout rod. I hope to report back some good news and pics.

Nothing to fancy as we really just try to keep kids out on dock as often as possible and they go crazy when we hook a ray...glad these kids have the opportunity to grow up on the water. Few 40 shots to boot!

May River. Bluffton, SC. Caught about 12 speckled trout up to 4lbs and the other one that I have to look up. And by look up, I mean wait for Greg or Stephen or Adam or somebody else to post it here. All from a kayak this afternoon. I wish I'd have thought to bring one to the chef for dinner. Going out again early Friday.

most of the good spots in the mountains are snowed in already.... not looking to learn while sitting by myself on a snow bank... LOL
it will be easier when my BIL gets his boat up here from San Fran next year so I can get out on the water during the colder months.
yeah need to figure out what I need to get in on some salmon fishing next year besides the license
