Lol, not this time Rocky, but with it gone I now have the spot for the next project.

Still working thru some details, but we are getting closer to more junk storage space.

I envy your motivation and energy.

Well, my "motivation" said we are picking up a Uhaul full of palletized parts this weekend that will need a place to live, and my "energy" tells me on Monday's that I need a lift or my back and knees will not last much longer. So don't envy either as they seem to only be costing me $$ lately. And this one I am paying someone to put up cause my "motivation" said she wasn't helping this time... 🤣

For your database when you start shopping for a lift:

The lift that I have is in this 10k capacity family with the extra height option (=> nominal 12 ft of vertical clearance required)

Had it for a decade without issue. I would note up front that the arms on the 10k require precise placement of short wheel base vehicles (i.e., the arms are almost fully retracted for a 40 or 70, so the vehicle must positioned precisely to mate to lift locations with minor arm extension adjustment).

Good luck

You really have to love them "WE" projects. I have a "we" at home myself and she's very good with "me" projects.

Progress update.

Started on a backstop. Still need more tars, then fill with dirt/sand and maybe build a bench.

Then we rolled into town to pick Erin up a 4' BushHog so she can do more cleaning up.

Then I sweated my A off and got some progress made on the shed. Front wall is up, now need to finish the top plate, clip its ears, square everything up and add some bracing til I can get it started, then get the rafters and decking on.

I intended to get back on it, but a line of rain is rolling in and I had to pack up everything to stay dry. Hopefully I can get back at it tomorrow and maybe get the rafters on and maybe get some decking on it.

Scraped around this afternoon after work. Got concrete set up for August 1st as long as the weather holds.

Got to get the corners staked and get it cleaned up and leveled and ready to have gravel delivered.

40x60 with a 15' lean-to on the back side.

Looking good. I like the beginning of that range.
Don't shoot at radial tires. There are quite a few cases of people getting pretty injured doing that. You can however use them as filler before dumping dirt over them to make a berm. If you can get hold of some plastic 55 gallon barrels, fill them with dirt or sand. That works very well also.

We built some ranges while I was in PI. We had to get tires hauled off the ranges so the Fils would not put an eye out.

Working on grading in preparation for stone next weekend. Slab is scheduled for the first of August. So we are about 2 weeks out. Got some quotes on the barn and hopefully we'll get that nailed down this week.

The little John may take a little longer, but we're getting there.

Found the rock.

Damn! 3" of Rain in less than an hour... Flash flooding at it's finest. Worst I've seen. Creek jumped and got in the barn. Tomorrow we will be drying things out. Definitely time for some drainage improvements around the farm.

Yeah, 2 in a row. We only got about 6 tenths yesterday, so no additional flooding, but didn't get any fan time in yesterday. Fortunately, most everything is up off the floor or in plastic totes, so just had a couple boxes that we are having to sort thru. Still a serious pain.

Big d@mn mess day 2...

Picture really doesn't do it justice.

Working to get this hole cleaned out and ready for stone is easier and harder after the rain. Rain softened things up, so I'm moving more dirt, but it is slick and sticky, so proving more difficult to get moved around.

Fired up the Massey today to push some piles around. Found this guy hanging out.

I gave him room and tried to re-home him/her before I took off. Leg to leg was easily 4". That's the tractor axle behind it.

I moved dirt for around 6 hours today. Lack less than a 1/4 of the pad being ready for stone. I worked til I couldn't see. I'll grab a pic tomorrow morning of the progress.

That’s a her, the males are much smaller. Must suck to get bossed around and beat up :grinpimp:

Not sure why these types of projects turn into such a pain in the arse but keep up the hard work!

Thanks @tgreco and I figured it was a her. When it comes to bugs, the females are usually the larger more dominant of the pair. Mine may not be larger, but...

Anyway, operation Big D@mn Hole is in full swing.

Got the 40x60 footprint stripped to the rock and I'm going to have some crusher run delivered tomorrow to level things up in preparation for the concrete guys to start forming.
