I've had it for about 6 years now and have used for repairs, wood working and mission trips to Central America. I haven't found anything it can't handle yet.

Leatherman Wave. Been using the same one since 1999 or 2000...still going strong.

I got a couple Leatherman Waves. One always in the pocket, and a spare in the camping gear.

I've got several Leatherman tools. My main carry tool is an older 2000 model. I love them. They are also very good to work with if you have a problem with your tool. I got stupid with two of my tools and on one I broke the large flat blade screwdriver and on the other I messed up both knife blades. I called them and was told to send them in. I wrote a letter to them and told them what I had done and asked them to fix them and then bill me. It cost me a couple of dollars postage to insure and send them. A couple of weeks later I got them back, and they looked like new. Fixed and no charge.

Leatherman Charge or any version of the Wave. The blades are on the outside and easily accessible with one hand. Liner lock on those and all tools lock on the inside. the tool bits are damn handy and buy the extra bits that fit in the sheath.

I don't care for gerbers b/c i always cut myself or get a gnarly blood blister.

Swiss tool has nice pliers, but the tools suck.

Sog is nice. I've been thinking about picking one up.

Just got a couple of new ones...

Got the Buck Xtract to replace the first Buck one that broke. Back story to that was I sent my Bucktool in to get it fixed, and they don't make parts for it any longer. So they sent me the Xtract...way cool...way to go Buck!!

Then I just got the Leatherman Mut tool.....now my multitool can kick your multitool's ass.....

Lol :D

I carried an original Leatherman for years, then got a Wave when they came out and carried it for a long time.
The Wave is a great multitool. Decent size, excellent pliers, and my favourite feature: one hand opening blades that you can access without having to open the tool.
If it's going to be your primary knife as well, the Charge TTi is a nice upgrade - more comfortable handles and better steel used for the knife blade.

I recently downsized to a Leatherman Juice S2 and so far I love it. I got tired of belt carry and the Juice is a much better size and weight to pack around in a pocket every day.
I'll strap on the Wave if I'm camping, but for EDC the Juice S2 rocks.

I have the Leatherman Surge and got a belt clip for it. Keep it in my pocket everyday and use it almost everyday. I used to carry a Gerber, but didn't like having to open the plier portion to get to a knife blade. The Surge is thought out very well.....and beefy. Might be a bit bulky, but I don't mind.

I have a pair of Waves. I send one in every so often and Leatherman either replaces the blades or sends me a new tool. So I need two. I hate not having one.

I have a Surge too, but it's too big and heavy.

I would not even consider one like the original or the Gerber than you have to open to get a blade out.

That's good to know. It never occurred to me to send it back after all this time... I have a broken tip on the blade I can get fixed.

IMOP Skeletool CX it's the best .. ( own couple of leathermans, gerbers, swisarmy etc ) why .. the hook/botle opener ..

Best all around multi-tool (so far), Victorinox Spirit. I've gone through about 20 or so multi tools, leathermans, SOG, Gerbers, and most of the others before settling on this one. Big enough to handle most jobs, but not too big or bulky that you need a separate pouch to lug it around. For jobs that might be too big for it to handle, I'm probably better off getting a real tool than messing around with any of the multi-tools.

I have had the original Leatherman wave for 10+ years. I love that it is big enough to really be functional, and that it has one hand opening for the blades. I primarily use it at work. The newer Wave looks little different. I've been thinking about getting a Skeletool or similar smaller tool for everyday use.
