All right, valves adjusted, although maybe only about three or four were out of spec, but all were checked. I cleaned up the valve cover and all around it, installed the new VC gasket & a set of refurbished VC nuts. Good to go........

Note, below you will see the difference between the shorter ('I' shape) 11213-61011 valve cover gasket on the right and the taller ('T' shape) 11213-61010 valve cover gasket on the left.

My valve cover has the inverted “T” gasket. Did you use any adhesives for securing it to the groove in the valve cover?

He may not have but I always put a little RTV on the corners. Expecially the driver rear corner as it often gets hung up trying to monkey it over the valve train.

No adhesive was use. One may ask, how did I do it without having the gasket fall out of the groove? Well, I made a few clips out of coated 14ga (+/-) aluminum wire to hold it in place. Once I installed the valve cover, the wire clips were easily removed and gasket stayed in place. I'll recreate how I did it this evening and post up a few pics to help show my method.

Hence me disconnecting & moving the PCV & heater lines out of the way. I learned this the last time I removed the valve cover and dickering with removal & re-installing it for far too long. Yes, I had to burp the coolant system, but that was easy with the below unit.

@knuckle47 - The photos below show the method I used to install the valve cover & vc gasket as one. Note, when bending the "L" shape into the wire, I used wire cutters to shorten it to the inside edge of the gasket. Also, do not over bend the wire into a "J" or hook shape, you could damage (or unseat) the gasket when pulling the wire out.

Ingenious plan

I know it's been a while, but where did you get your wider wheels? TIA
There was an Old Timer with a home shop in Calhoun, GA that cut the rim and welded in a steel band. A few guys here on MUD had him do a set. Unfortunately, he passed away a few years back.

If I was to do this again, I'd try to find someone to re-hoop (15x8) a set and weld in the OEM wheel centers.

Haven't done any wrenching on my 40 in quite some time, which is a good thing. I've just been driving it most every day. Five years plus with the Sniper, no setting modifications since and still performing very well. A Sniper & Vac pic after my ride into work this morning.

Nice! Is ignition timing really at 16+?

that's awesome, I am on year three but already had to replace injectors.

Going on year 2 with the Holley Sniper and using Mosley Modified Hyperspark ignition tied to the EFI cpu…timing was 15 and proved to be a touch too high…12 now works fabulously
LOVE IT!

My timing is set to about 10 degrees +/-....timing mark in in the lower part of the window. I set it that way when I got back from SAS #4 in Sept 2020, and haven't touched it since.
