6hrs. Holy crap thats like 2 tanks of gas just to get there. I think i might be gettin 13mpg

well probably not gonna make gsmtr as predicted. Lost ps pump today. Ordered another for 85-90ish. Could not align the dent, need to replace some tre's. I already have them though. We'll see. If i do go it will be last minute.

It's 8 hrs from here...Towing a trailer...Gas is my major expence.
BUT I WOULDN'T MISS IT!!!

I'll be leaving from either the Greenville or Seneca area when I head up - probably Greenville. I 'think' I'll be leaving Weds, maybe Thurs early, if anyone wants to caravan.

That is my plan right now, too. Probably try to leave work mid-day Wed, get home, top off the packing, and head out by 3-4. In a 60, 6 hours might be a little optimistic.

Lance and I are officially registered and we are setting swag aside for the great raffle on saturday night.

I know this may sound silly, but driving down 85 into Atlanta and then back up 75 may be a viable alternative for some folks. It only gets hilly as you go around Chattanooga. Google says 5hrs 20min, but I bet it would be less than 5.

I've done both ways. While going through ATL is quicker by about 30 min. I really enjoyed going through the western NC mountains. That is a really cool drive.

I'll be leaving from Travelers Rest so I'll probably head through WNC.

How far is it from ATL. I thought about coming that way last year to avoid the steep climbs (saluda mtn, etc.) but I think it added an hour to my already long trip.

3 hours 24 minutes. A total of 8.5 hours from Char., but Rick says you might can cut 20 minutes or so out of the Google estimate, plus less hill climbs.

It's 512 total miles.

7.5 hours and 468 miles from Char. through WNC Mtns.

From ATL its less than 3 hours. I think I did it in 2.5 once - no construction on 75 and no rush hour. Last time I went up at 3 o'clock on a Friday it was brutal.

My drive to Greenville is typically 2.5 with avg traffic.
