Sunday. Big orange 40. Or just look for the fat guy who looks like he is going to die.
That was quite funny! Thanks.

Cool, I'll most likely see you Sunday sometime. I'm driving a yellow Volvo semi. I'm certainly willing to help with some setup if you need it.

No prob Ted! I'll stand at the gate and as people come in, I'll ask them if they want to participate in that event; the one's that say yes, I'll slap a blindfold on them and say "if you make it to camp without any body damage, you win!".

I think it's pretty obvious that I'm attending. I'll be showing up Sunday sometime most likely. I'm registered, but not yet paid. :/

Ill be there. I'm not sure when yet. Maybe Wed or Thurs. Cid, let me know what you decide, maybe we can meet somewhere and caravan. Ill have my AAA card! :) Brian

That's cool Brian. Although I hopefully won't need the AAA card, as my truck does not have door locks anymore, but you never know. I will probably go up Thursday afternoon, just depending on the kid's school.

Whoever gets there early in the week needs to stake out a big spot so all the Ga. Cruiser guys can throw out our tents and camp together. What about John and Josh, Garcia, Nick and Miranda, and Downhill Dave?

dont know about N&M and Ben but everyone else is planning a Thursday departure. That leaves questions about Dennis, Andrew, Robert and Tom, and a few others.

Well the Navy just worked one over on me so I'm pretty sure I won't be showing up quite as early as I'd originally planned. Still likely early in the week though. Monday night hopefully, but Tuesday morning for sure.

If anyone's been there before and knows a good area for me to scout for the GC's club camping area, let me know and I'll try to work it out with Trollhole when I show up and sign in.

Look for a good shady spot during the middle of the day. It was hot a hell last year and the shade really helped out. Thanks.

yep, x2 ^^^^^. that said it will be a few weeks earlier in the year so maybe not quite so warm.

The main pavilian is where all the action is, this is good and bad. It's good b/c there are bathrooms (no showers in these) but if the band plays until 1 AM like it did last year you wont sleep.

I'll try to remember our banner this year so we can annonce our location. :flipoff2:

Ted,
Maybe you can link up your planning with Mike & Brian? If it is like last year where the sponsors were setup with the mini-pavillian, the ACC pavillian could also be the hub for the GA Cruisers. The mini-pavillian they had offered a fairly short walk to the main pavillian, but with enough separation that the band did sound like they were in the same tent.

Good idea ^^^^. Wonder what the chances of us (GA Cruisers) getting one of those mini pavilians would be, or are they already reserved. I know ACC is one of the big sponsers of the event so maybe that is how they got one last year.

So am I gathering that I should look for something relatively close to one of the smaller pavillions? Or would being close to the bath houses be more desirable?

Prioritize and/or add to this list, anyone:
- Showers/Bathrooms
- Shady area
- Near pavillion (big/small)

Google maps is too cool sometimes.

We camped right HERE and it was pretty good, only about 100 yards from the main pavilian which made it easy to walk to. You can't camp near the bath house, it's the building next to the race track so you have to drive down there.

also a good idea. if I remember correctly they were right about HERE in yellow. does that look right Larry?

I'll also be bringing a welder and grinder this year! :flipoff2:

Ted, That location looks like the pavillian that IPOR had. I thought ACC's site was about half way in between (but the area I am referring to looks blurry to me). Regardless, just a thought for your consideration.

ACC has some outside customers coming in they are planning on setting up around their area. Plus I'd rather just give you guys a place all to your own. How about we give you the shelter beside IPOR?
