No bushings at all? They rotted out completely?

None on the front spring pins. Moving to the rear next. Does not look like any there either.

The rear had a bit more

Aw, a ‘66 model

Can’t quite tell
Is this truck for sale?
I sold all my old iron and now regret it
Found a 61 fst here in Colorado yesterday, but it’s been overly spit polished
A 61 fst is uber rare, hell any 61 is...
But 67 and earlier is in my wanted wheel house
And preferably one that doesn’t have a heavy coat of new

paint shop red all over everything

Yes this truck is for sale. I’m about finished with everything I’m doing to it. Price goes up every time I spend a day on it but it’s nice to know it’s getting touched all over.

I spent the afternoon changing all the fluids. The tranny had about 1/2 fluid and the tcase was empty. I’m hoping that I just did not make a leak. That’s usually a sign.

Rear axle was full. Front needed about a quart.

The oil was old and super thin. I put a couple of gallons of Rosella in it.

The best part was the air cleaner.

I finally got the gas cap off thanks to advice to use channel locks from @USMC22

I’m off to town to fill it with high test

Got about 2 miles toward town and Texas Red was humming along great and then boom.

Out of gas.

Called my 16 year old. He grabbed the handy dandy OEM fuel can off Ole Blue and came to my rescue.

Then it fired right up and I got 1/2 mile away and it dies again.

Filter had gas but none was in the bowl so I guess the fuel pump died so I rode home on the rope of shame

Then I got it into the shop and cracked the fuel line and it must have burped some air because it’s running and pumping like a boss again.
