Serious welding and fab skills - thanks for sharing with all of us. Makes me feel guilty about the minor rust on my '62.

Point of the new pan out of curiosity?! Wish I had your welding skills.

im planing on putting a turbo on and i needed a second oil drain back to the pan. i pulled the steal one off and it was in poor shape. The extra oil capacity is for the long road trips down to central america.

made a new gasket
most of the welding done just time to drill and grind

I removed the stack of wires i had running from the batteries to individual switches and ran one main power to a set of resettable breakers in a nice dry location. Then ran power to switches. Im not a big fan of fuses because when ever they go i never seem to have a spare.

Seriously, I mean really, tackling serious rust issues, got bored with that and fabed a roof rack, snorkel, shelving/bed, removing front diffs, fabed a new high capacity oil pan, battery cables, wiring, whats next...I wish you were my Neighbor.

Waterproof cover for roof rack. Should tighten up once its packed with gear.Water can still get in underneath but at least it should stop stuff from flying away.

Reminds me of my 40 back in 1992. Don't miss those sorts of rust problems.
