2016 LX570.

I'm looking for the interior passenger side fuse box and everything I've read seems to indicate it's "right there". I took off the plastic cover under the glove box and I don't see it at all. Is it in the kick panel or does the glove box need to be removed? Am I just blind?

My SQOD, is there a way to get the factory entertainment system to show the main screen instead of the nav screen on startup of the truck every time without having to press a button?

On my 18 LC I can not get it to start on the home screen. If I leave it on the radio/audio screen it will start back up on audio next time. But if it's on home screen it always starts up on NAV. Not sure why they call it the home screen when it doesn't default there on startup. Maybe there's a trick but I haven't found it yet.

Factory Entertainment stopped working abruptly. While we were driving it suddenly went blank and all the sound system went down. There are not much information available in the forum about debugging entertainment system other than replacing the unit. Tried reconnecting battery as well. Anybody have any clues?

Does anyone have a source for carpet that matches or closely matches the OEM floor carpet in the rear, mines black. I'm trying to carpet my rear diy drawers with matching carpet.
Thanks

this outdoor carpet came from Lowes and matches the OEM carpet fairly well.

You may be getting water in from somewhere.
One of two more common places are from the sunroof drains being clogged, or you may have a windshield cowl in which the seals have failed.
Good luck to you, I wouldn't waste my time again pulling fuses and just try to identify where the leak is coming from.
Ask me how I know...

I managed to run my LC 200's starter battery totally flat during Labor Day weekend.
Jump starting it got me on the road (that was accompanied by a whole other fiasco).

The battery is the OEM wet lead acid Toyota TrueStart.
I'm not really sure what I did to run the battery down.
Maybe it's a bit weak?

So I put my CTEK 7002 charger on it (NORMAL mode) and checked on it after about 2 hours.
What I heard coming from the battery could be described as a "hissing" and "popping" sound.
I assume that this is what is commonly referred to as a "boiling battery" and is hydrogen gas being generated. But it was louder than I have ever heard it.

Anyway it didn't sound right so I stopped it.

The CTEK advertises itself as good for "12V lead-acid batteries (Wet, MF, AGM, GEL and Ca)" and charges "NORMAL" at 14.4V.

Did I cook my battery?
The CTEK indicator showed it needed charging so should I reattach & let the CTEK run it's charging course?
Any thoughts?

The battery seems fine at the moment.

OEM as in came in the vehicle or purchased at a dealer?

Came with the vehicle AFAIK. It's a 2018.

EDIT: here's a pic

What's the date on it?

I'm not exactly sure how they are labeled but the original battery is built by Panasonic. Truestart is sold in toyota dealers but is US-built.

Probably doesn't change much about your issue..

Have you tried popping the covers and checking electrolyte level?

For the life of me I couldn't find a date.
The battery was what came with the truck* built 1/2018 and the truck was sold to me as new with 6300 miles 11/2019 - never titled so there was no "previous owner'" but I have no idea what the dealer might have done.

Electrolytes are fine - up right where they should be.

*EDIT: you know, I assume it came with the truck as built. The dealer could have switched it.

Probably the GM's demo that got a new battery as a way for make-ready to fluff the RO.

They did refer to it as a demo. It appeared no one wanted it; they had 4 or 5 brand new 2019's sitting there unsold at the time.

Can someone with a known Original Equipment Panasonic battery post a picture of it?

Pretty sure that factory batteries don't have any "TrueStart" labelling on them. Here's the battery from my '15 that I am almost certain is the factory one. I still have it in my garage, running my home ham radio base station. I can't find any date labels, but it does clearly say Panasonic on the sides.

Thank you!

Pretty ironic they likely removed the superior battery from @FrazzledHunter truck just to check a box. Not that Truestart is bad.. but it isn’t Panasonic.
