I’ve got a dented up 80 too! Maybe we just need to have the campfire ring to anyone that doesn’t wash and wax their cruiser everyone other weekend.

Somebody needs to buy me a 200 so I can join the convo. Nobody's impressed with just denting up a pristine 80 anymore!
It was in the good old days before you met me, Ed!You and David Freiburger must have the same definition of pristine![]()
@afgman786 thank you for tagging @bkfj40 . Figured you would know!@DrivenLyfe - sorry I didn’t stop, we were running late to a family reunion - when I drove back down you guys had already left. Looks like the silver 570 got a little kiss on the backside. Shoot me a msg next time you guys are gonna head up there again. Thanks @afgman786 for the tag. We should compare dents on the 200s over a campfire this falll.

I was the only DMV attendee - would be great to get some more local representation, I'd love to make the trip down with some folks from the area next year.
Roughly 8 hours each way, but definitely worth the haul. The trails are amazing and there's so much stuff to do. I ended up destroying both my radiator and alternator, and was pretty nervous to be broken down 500 miles away from home, but literally dozens of people came to my assistance, and helped me locate and install the parts I needed to make it back home.
Certainly won't be going through deep mud puddles again anytime soon... but I'm glad that I did it once, crossed an item off my bucket list (actually using the damn snorkel) and I got so much valuable hands-on mechanic experience in the following 24 hours.Sounds like quite an adventure. Glad you made it back on the road ok. I'd love to join this next year.
Yep, thats what I love about this community. People are always willing to pitch inSome pictures from the 70 Series meetup in Windrock, Tennessee last week:

That's me on the way to work. I haven't been on the forum for awhile but have been seeing a RHD 80 series on the way to work and haven't had a chance to get a good look and wanted to see where he bought it from. It's a nice rig. Mine is a KZJ78, had it for the last year and a half. Good daily driver now that diesel has sort of gone down.
