Speaker thingy…

Anybody ever seen a speaker setup like this? I think that speaker surround looks stock. Not sure why the one speaker faces into the firewall…. 1973 Pig

Pretty sure that extra speaker wasn't factory or dealer for that matter. '73 pig would have had just the one speaker. Looks like it was installed with a sheetrock screw FWIW.

My '74 has something under the dash, if I remember, I will get a picture.

Pulled one out of one of my Pigs. Mount is OEM or perhaps dealer. Don't know about the speaker, which should be inside the mount facing out.

So the PO didn't have to cut a hole in the firewall to mount another speaker...

Saw 1 on fleabay . It's a foot rest with speaker inside. Don't know why speaker is screwed to firewall

Don't know about a footrest, Bob. The one on the Pig I had was up under the dash on the passenger side. Don't recall exactly where, maybe against the footwell but up high.
