Damn Chris!! That’s a bummer man. If you have any questions about anything I had my back fused in 2014. You should heal fast with that lower section only, don’t worry you can still live a great pain free life after. We’re going to miss you this year, that’s for sure! @thatcabledude

Speaking of... we could use a few volunteers to help wrangle people and vehicles into place for the photo that evening.

We don’t like to strap folks with an itinerary or anything of the sort, but this piece is a bit like herding cats as you might imagine! Just let me know if you’re interested in helping when you pick up your swag at campsite 46, please.

Special thanks to @Mesa Woman for jumping in to help last year, and as always, big thanks to @Dirtydawg for shooting the photo.

Always welcome!
I will help out this year!
Looking forward to seeing everyone and introducing our boyz!!

Thanks for that man. Honestly I’ve been kinda nervous about it. What to expect afterwards, etc Great to hear encouragement like that. It’s been a long time coming. Injections and all that mess did nothing at all. Got so insanely painful earlier this year I had to do something.

I cancelled my cabin if anyone wants one. Up in the air if I’m coming also just bought and sold another house, buying another cruiser that I need to swap all my junk into, and so busy at work( we turned down 12 jets in the last 3 days) will wait tell last minute if I can cruise over there for day or two, being hr away it’s also a tough drive.

Thinking of hitting some trails with @EasternYeti this year. I hope he can keep up.
@CenTXFJ60 also expressed interest in starting a Cruiser bike gang 😆

Yes! Since I'll be trailering this year there will room for the old XL350R... hmmm 🤔. If I was rolling solo I'd bring it for sure..

You towing with Tundra?

Yes. Were not packing 2 kids and dog into a 40 build with no AC and zero miles... along with their luggage for their 2nd leg of the trip to Oregon.

We are packing our teen boyz into our 40 this year!! and all our gear and not bringing a trailer or extra vehicle and no AC... not quite as long of a drive as you guys but it will be tight again... takes me back to 40 for 4 going to Death Valley for 3 weeks! So we are doing 40 for 4 again to SAS 4 but only a week's worth and there are stores around, lol. Looking forward to seeing you guys again and your little beings!! Happy Travels!

Does anyone want to paddleboard one day? I've got a local buddy that is all about the outdoor sports and will give me some info on where... I have an inflatable SUP that I would love to bring if we have room... if we have room...

Don’t tease me like that, I’d bring this right up Imogene ANYDAY

Glad you opted for the red white and blue paint scheme like mine last year :hillbilly:

The 40 now has all fluids, all the lights work (original front harness and even bulbs!), and it starts with the key and runs on fuel from its own tank. I even drove it back and forth in the shop Friday. Still have some interior reassembly, front driveshaft to lengthen, coolant hoses and fan to finalize. My attempt to make a serpentine belt work with the existing crank pulley failed, couldn't get it to stop jumping off. So I am also waiting on a new PS pulley from PSC and the crank pulley to show up in the mail as my friend from Wisconsin who stopped by Friday to wrench with me took it with him en route to Louisiana to cut the serpentine portion off and mate it to a big block chevy crank pulley to give me another V belt groove. 😬🤞

Hey gang, I totally missed the boat on SAS this year. Life got busy, customer builds, Corona stuff, etc and it just fell off the radar. I'm hoping maybe I can stop by on Tuesday or Wednesday to at least say hi to some old friends. I may even be able to work it out that it's an on-the-way stopover while I'm heading out to Moab to deliver a pretty sweet LJ70/Cummins R2.8 project we're just finishing up (Builds - Machito the LBJ70). Anybody got a spare few feet at their campsite if I need a place to crash and set up a tent for a night?
