Tucker and I made it in last night around midnight. 16.5 hour 940 mile push from Amarillo to Huntsville is rough in a 40. If it wasn’t for the humidity once we hit Arkansas it wouldn’t have been too bad. Had a blast but wish we had more time to spend out there. My 40 developed a slight sputter on Wednesday or so last week but held together for the ride home. I feel like the injectors may need some attention so going to pull those tonight. Hard to kill the diesels :) Can’t wait for next year and really enjoyed meeting everyone. We will need to do a winter trip in the interm. Thanks @CaptClose for this awesome photo.

@CenTXFJ60 @The Machinist and I stopped off at Four Corners to check it out, but had a Clark Griswold moment when we arrived 30 minutes after close. We decided to make the most of the situation though...

So we decided to point our front bumpers toward the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and camped outside the park and went in the next morning. Here’s Darrell contemplating life and death...

Now.... we are looking for other frontiers to explore. Stay tuned!

We hit TX at about 11:30a. Hung out with @Yackster and @The Jade Bean in Amarillo. We checked @Yackster s magic shop. It is well stocked for any engine rebuild work. Candy store for me and the boys. Did not know he did diesels which is cool. Really cool place.

Gabriel and I made it home around 10:30 last night with no big issues, just a few small ones. Lots of talk about getting MaryJane the 1963 FJ40 trail ready for next year! That would be cool to see MaryJane the 63’ and Tracks the 83’ 40s on the trails together with everyone else!!

I appreciate all the organization behind this event and look forward to seeing everyone again then if not sooner!! Made lots of new friends and the vibes from this group was very warming!

Thank you Trail Leaders for your guidance!
@roma042987 , @4Cruisers, @POTATO LAUNCHER and @offrd63 We did it!!

Hope you all had a good time in Ouray, its a nice place.

Maybe, next time you all are in the KOA you'll learn to slow down and keep the noise down after 10 pm.

Thanks for the two day delay on complaining. Next year I'll post my camp # and you can do it in person.

Tinfoil hat plus split 3/8" rubber hose cure for the vapor lock conspiracy. Didn't work.....should have listened to Casey.

Agree, thanks to the trail leaders. There were places where it made a huge difference having an experienced and confident leader. Not afraid to admit that one at all!

I also want to thank or sponsors for this year.
@dogfishlake / Patrick.
@The Jade Bean / Daniel and family
@reevesci / Jason and
especially would like to thank the big man Woody for creating this awesome site. Without it non of this would even be possible. No other site is used to organize this great group of Cruiser Heads from all over this great country.

Got in a few hours ago after a long drive through the night. Great meeting you all, had a killer time and look forward to next year! Maybe we can try to corner an area for next year so we don't have any nerds to try and keep us from having a good time at night. :)
