Man, I whammed myself. After posting that picture, tried bolting it up and discovered the shock mount had to be moved back. Worked out okay, ready to order shocks.

I need a round table discussion. My gas pedal keeps getting in the way of my braking. Moving my big 'ol number 12 around is hard enough. I want to try and fix the problem before traveling. As of now the gas pedal is sitting farther out than the other two. I can cut and reweld easily enough, making it shorter than the others, but will that solve it. I could cut and move the gas over towards the hump, giving my foot more room.

I am using a short throw pedal mounted as close to the hump/firewall as I can get it, very comfortable on long drives and not bad when off road going from gas to brake often.
I looked for a better picture with no luck but this will give you an idea of placement.. Note how low or far back it is compared to the brake/clutch pedals.

That's a big help! I wasn't sure about shortening it, but thought that might work. You can stretch your leg out, too. I've been catching the gas pedal when trying to brake, don't want to do that on a mountain pass.
Exactly why I mounted the gas pedal this way. IMHO the brake and clutch pedals are mounted too far up and back making them uncomfortable to hold your foot in that position for extended periods, I considered moving them but that would create other issues so I just adjusted them back as far as they will go with the factory adjustments as I don’t find myself riding either one for any length of time anyway.
Several friends, various size and weight have driven the pig in this configuration and none have said it was uncomfortable.

Well, I took 3" out of the arm, any more it would of gotten too high. I'll try this for awhile and if need be, make a new arm.

I think most manual trans vehicles have the throttle lower than the brake and clutch from the factory. I went through some gyrations getting my gas pedal in a comfortable position.

That's the pedal that came with the motor, Chevy Silverado. It's a "drive by wire" system, no cable. I think after a while, I'm going to make a new pad, it doesn't need to so big.

Just my luck, they only go back to 2007. Mine's a 2004.
Why do I have a feeling this is not going to end well for me…

Not sure if you noticed they sell just the adjustable pedal part that you could retrofit to you control unit.

I'll have to call them again, Lokar said they didn't have anything for a 2004, maybe this one will work. I'm a little scared of their statement, 3 times more responsive, as my stock one is very responsive. I don't want it too jumpy, as I crawl over those carts.
And don't worry, I'm so buried in the pit of spousal wrath, you couldn't make a dent. I'm really just kidding, you can't get away doing all the stupid stuff I do and not have a Wife who is very tolerant. God love 'em!

Then I would definitely just order the pedal part and retrofit it to your control module. If you look close you’ll see how they assemble and adjust. Easy retrofit IMHO. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/lok-xdbw-6004

The part I don't understand is the control module. Will my 04 work on their newer model. Summit's (Lokar) universal looks the same as Lokar's specific model for 07 and up. Will the 04 module bolt up and be compatible with the 07's sensor. I'll make some more calls tomorrow.

Put the pedal aside, until I can try out what I have. Jumped to the front bumper, as time is running and my Wife is headed to Moab in May with or without me and the cruiser. Stock bumper, but wasn't from a winch model. Want to check with you guys with pto winches and see what the mounting looks like. I welded all the mounting holes and am starting over, only two holes lined up. She will get powder coated. The plan is to bend my own grille guard if I have time.
